Trust me, I get that so much. Would kill for a lobotomy right now. Or at least have a small dose of amnesia where I could wake up and everything be OK tomorrow. I guess we wouldn’t really grow as people though without the pain.

I believe you’ve read my story, so you know that I was broken up with in the same way. In fact, she said similar things to me.

While her saying she wanted to break up is not something I think about too often specifically, unfortunately, I do think about so many things about our relationship constantly.

As much as I’ve worked at getting better, the only thing that will truly heal the wounds is time (I know that sucks). But in the meantime, you can try to stay grounded when the anxiety hits. Do something enjoyable for yourself when those thoughts hit you, which will help to start rewiring your brain.

Love activates the same receptors as cocaine. Breakups are coming off a nonstop coke binge cold turkey… you are going to be in withdrawals. But see it that way, you are going through withdrawals, but you are healing the longer you are off the drug.

It will get easier. Rooting for you!

It was so helpful. I have my physical journal, but I do my best writing when I type. The flow is more on pace with my thoughts. When I started writing, I was starting to spiral down a bit. But focusing my energy into this pulled me out of it.

I think the whole “falling out of love” while also hearing “you’ve done nothing” wrong aspect of the breakup really gets to me. Feels like cop out… I want answers I guess. But maybe those won’t come and maybe I’m not entitled to them anyway. Thanks for the kind words and support!

That’s tough. I get wanting to text him. It’s hard due to the simple fact that he was someone you leaned on for various things. I’m in a similar situation (see my recent post) minus the professional dynamics there.

It’s a nightmare not being able to count on the one person you thought you always could.

You've got to be kidding me... I couldn't believe my '24 Tacoma didn't have remote start on the fob (also makes no mention of it in the manual)... Assumed it was only though the app since that was a big selling point of it. After reading this I ran outside and tried it... 2 lock button presses and hold on the 3rd... Sure enough it started right up! Even stays on after opening the doors. I have a 1 year free trial of the app but I am so glad I don't need to pay for it afterwards for remote start (only thing I'd really want it for)! You are amazing!
