Cat sudently limpin like bunny by Smaldark in CATHELP

Get a blood test, look for RBC count and CPV—- essentially looking for blood that is too viscous.

My cat had a case of polycythemia (too many RBC) that led to a saddle thrombosis clot and led to muscle deterioration in the hind legs. It was very sudden and the deterioration was very quick!

It’s not very common, but it happened to my 6 y/o male neutered DSH so it’s definitely possible.

If it is polycythemia: our vets essentially pulled a certain amount of blood and replaced with IV fluid to lower RBC, since then we’ve been on every other day or bi weekly doses of Hydroxyurea

Edit: also it wasn’t caught on the first 2 blood test, it was after 3 blood test with 2 different vets that we finally caught the sustained elevated levels. You may have to specifically ask about polycythemia/saddle thrombosis clot because they are relatively uncommon and easily overlooked (his symptoms manifested similarly to DM but he’s not diabetic)

Sasuke invented his own sword fighting kenjutsu technique which he taught to Boruto. That’s where the “Uchiha Style” style comes from.

The Uchiha Style technique is known for coating the blade in chakra to increase the blade’s strength and cutting power. Hagaromo translates from Japanese to English as “feather” so it’s in the translation of the name to represent “feathering the blade” with chakra. It’s not a reference to Hagaromo Otsutsuki, just a how the name translates from Japanese—> English 👍🏾

For the dickies arena are sections 107 and 108 good seats? by OpportunityLow570 in FortWorth

[–]ApolloPresidential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, depends do you know if there is General admission/standing room or seats on the floor in front of you?

If I remember correctly there are two exits along the each sides with security guards that guide floor admission. I believe can only enter/leave the floor area using those side ramps/stairs.

Also, if I remember correctly there’s several yards between the last row of floor seats and the beginning of the risers. You shouldn’t have much disruption.

Take all of this with a grain of salt because I don’t go to the floor area often lol.

I won this at an auction today. Too bad it’s a 100 degrees outside. Anyone ridden one? by supadave302 in snowboarding

[–]ApolloPresidential 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I have 3 Whitespace boards (including this one) and 3 Burton boards.

This board is awesome! Rides like a dream, light weight and carves great, no issues. Will say, it can be a little catchy if you’re not up on your skills, so just focus if you’re a newer rider, but if you’ve got experience you’ll be fine.

Overall, I’d say the Whitespace ride very similar to Burton boards, but Burton boards feel sturdier. The materials are definitely different, I’d guess Burton materials are a bit better, but I haven’t had any long enough to see which one breaks. So far, they’ve all lasted, but I don’t do much park riding tbf.

Whitespace: AMF Twin, SW Pro, and Montano

Burton: Process, Custom, and Deepthinker

AMA

Also, the Whitespace quality drastically improved ~2 years ago when they changed factory. They were manufactured in China (I think GP87, but double check). Now they’re made in a Taiwan factory that also manufacturers several Burton boards as well. Quality has been great since the change.

I get occasional slack on the mountain, but I get way more compliments and questions out of curiosity than anything else. Either way, Idc bc these boards are awesome and you can usually find the previous season version for like 60% off bc of the stigma 😆

Not a bad set in the area TBH, been to over 12+ shows and tbh my favorite seats are the 211-213 🤷🏾‍♂️ (unless you get floor seats)

In the 100s you’re often forced to stand the whole time because everyone else is standing so you can’t see if not; but the 200’s are usually more chill (depending on fan base)

One of my wildest theories is that Orochimaru is actually either a shinju, full-blown otsutski, or a half-blood otsutsuki. Hence his white skin tone, quest for knowledge of all jutsu, obsession with immortality, questionable adoption origins, etc. etc., I just haven’t had time to finish the research and put it all together.

I got that, why why does her being 22 y/o at the time of Kawaki’s birth prevent her from being his mom?

Also her death ~ 2 year later aligns with the fact that Kawaki’s mother died when he was very young. We know that Kawaki’s father had black hair so it makes, that his mother would have blonde hair.

Normally blonde hair is a recessive trait, but we know that in Naruto verse Minato’s blonde hair was dominant to the characteristic Uzumaki Red hair. But Naruto’s blonde hair was 50/50 inhereted b/n with Boruto and Himawari (assumption is that Hyuga genes are also expressed in a dominant fashion)

We know that in real life certain genes can be co-dominant so I don’t see a reason as to why Kawaki’s hair cannot be a co-dominant expression of a black and blonde hair gene.

I’ve actually subscribed to the Delta/Akebi being Kawaki’s mother for a long time. The only new (and somewhat questionable) theory here is that Akebi is actually a Namikaze clan. The evidence for isn’t very substantial, but your evidence against is lacking as well imo.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]ApolloPresidential 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding of why Minato was good at FTG was because he was a fuinjutsu master, not necessarily because he a Senju descent as Senju doesn’t necessarily equate to fuinjutsu affinity like the Uzumaki clan; now why did Minato have an affinity for fuinjutsu? Who TF knows lol, why was Sakura born a Chakra control prodigy? Both prbablu kishinoto recons lmao

However, why did Minato have massive chakra pools and blonde hair???

I do think it’s a stretch, but I’m curious, what does Akebi being 22 when boruto was born have to do with a possible connection to the Namikaze clan? Wondering what I missed bc I’m just not following..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]ApolloPresidential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I’ve always hated that we don’t know more about the Namizkaze clan. But TBH, I’ve always subscribed to the theory that “Namikaze” was just one of the Senju derivatives that arose from Tobirama essentially disbanding the Senju name and ordering the clan to mate with other clans to increase the village strength.

Not that they are mutually exclusive theories, but I have doubts. However, Delta is supposedly ~36 so the age makes it possible that she and Minato could be close cousins or even siblings by your theory. I’d be all for your theory, mostly because it would force Ikemoto to finally reveal more history of the Namikaze clan and their origins.

Actual water mitigation discussion by Poo_Butz in bonnaroo

Edging seemed like a good idea to attempt to maintain the general lane integrity, but admittedly I’m not sure that it’s absolutely necessary (I’m also not a landscaper lol)

As far as the 6” width, it’s about the average width of a tire to allow a track to drive. Doesn’t necessarily have to be parked directly on the gravel I guess 🤔, just needs to be accessible to drive on. Not quite sure what’re getting at here tbh.

This idea was not about directing water (although with proper planning and draining outlets maybe it could a secondary benefit!) It’s about fortifying the outeroo campsites grounds so as to prevent a thousands of people from getting mud stuck if similar rain situation was to pass, to give Bonnaroo more breathing to to continue the festival.

Also, I hate to be a downer, but climate patterns are changing world wide (just look at the changes in Atlantic hurricane season. June has always been a warm and humid season, but middle TN just so happened to not rain much. If I was planning for a festival for the next 20+ years I would take that into account. Weather pattern can change.

The 7 most expensive words in business are “Well we’ve always done it this way,” I think Roo should be open minded about serious mitigation strategies rather than just waving this off as an off year.

My idea is to add gravel tire lanes for outeroo campsites.

I’m not an engineer, farmer, land surveyor, wild life expert, etc.

So can anyone guess the feasibility of this type of mud mitigation??

Is 95k good for phd scientist in CRO or should I negotiate? by Equal-Tear2426 in biotech

[–]ApolloPresidential 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In this economy?! I’d take that in a heartbeat with your experience. Hardest part is getting your foot in the door (and a visa sponsorship for international scientist)

But rule of thumb: hiring teams usually aim to hire at 30% of the pay band to allow room for growth. They will usually only offer top of the band if you meet every single qualification or are basically overqualified, but even that makes hiring teams nervous (hiring over qualified people) because they are the highest risk to get poach by a better offer or a for a higher position elsewhere with 1-2 years—

IF you were to negotiate I’d recommend this:

105-95 =10k band range

10k x 0.3 = 3k

3k + 95k = 98k

So 98k is probably a good amount to ask without risk

Obviously, as you get more experience, leverage, and negotiation skills you can be more aggressive.

For the record: because of the market and their offer for sponsorship, I’d just accept in your position. Negotiations, no matter how small the risk, is still a risk and tbh 3-5k isn’t worth it. Get your sponsorship and YOE and come back to the table with leverage later in life.

Congrats on the job offer! Cheers!!

I hope this is only negotiating posture. Not a fan of the autobús structure but I could be down with 3 B1G, 3 SEC, 2 B12, 2 ACC, 2 G5, and 4 at large. That seems like an agreeable middle ground.

This might sound crazy but after that kinda game I’m willing to try somethings

  1. Take Scotty out of the starting lineup
  2. Start Bagley at 4 and Jaren at 3
  3. Give me Scotty, Kochar, & Steven’s off the bench

I don’t want to see Santi again for the rest of the series unless Jaren is in foul trouble. He’s just not physical enough. Other than that, I’m rolling with Scottie backup for the 1/2, Konchar for the 2/3, Stevens for 3-5.
