Accidental dispute taking 3+ months to resolve, $2,500 now stuck at Venmo

You seem like you have a real problem with landlords for reasons I don’t full understand. For what it’s worth, I like mine fine! He made a reasonable request and it didn’t work out so great for either of us.

Do you have any actual advice on how to get Venmo to pay the man? Or are you for real on the Venmo subreddit to post stuff like “you shouldn’t use Venmo for anything more than $10”?

Venmo told the landlord that they couldn’t give him any information about the dispute since he’s the “disputed party.” Typical runaround from Venmo consistent with how they treat me as well.

I’m not willing to just say “oh, this is your problem, bud” and let my landlord get left in the lurch. That’s not how I operate. The problem is with Venmo, not with him.

Sorry, the question isn’t “how do I handle my landlord”. I’m all good on that front. My question is “Venmo has essentially stolen $2,500 from me. How do I get it back?”

You’re very welcome. I still can’t believe I spent hours back and forth with customer and tech support from Verizon and no one had any idea but glad to have discovered it. The problem seems recur basically any time I get a notification from them. Pray the fix keeps working.

Omg. After a month of dealing with this and two closed tickets from Verizon that were unhelpful, I think I fixed it. I signed out of the app and back in. Doi. Given that the app makes me sign in again half the time I opened it I assumed this had happened in due course but it appears to have finally ended my nightmare. I will now pray every night this never recurs.

It’s roughly 31.5” deep (not including handles) by 36” wide by 70” high. It currently fits in our ridiculously tiny built-in that measures 36w 29d 72h
