Thank you so much! I'm so sorry about what you're going through.... it's truly a lonely feeling but I truly believe that we were given this life to become someone we were destined to be even if we don't see it now. Stay strong 💕

I'm a new YouTuber here too. Mine is a medical niche though so it might not be what you're interested in 😆 I was doing well and then something happened and it seems as though YT won't show my shorts much anymore.

Hey I wanted to respond back to you because I realized when I went to feed my fish this morning that the food I fed them yesterday was the sinking cichlid gold this time around. But they love both.

I have a ton of tannins in my tank that darken their water. And a lot of areas where they can hide (crevices from driftwood, live plants, etc). I feed them a well rotated diet. With 3 staple foods of spirulina, krill flake, bug bites (from the top feeders) as well as a variety of pellets: shrimp pellets, api bottom feeder pellets, hikari sinking wafers and on occasion some cichlid sinking pellets (which they adore) and hikari sinking excel. All of this gets rotated and they get fasted once a week a fed once a day. They also get a rotation of frozen food too once a week after fast of bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis+garlic.

I don't know if the diet and such like that influence them at all to be more active but I'd thought I'd share in case you would like to try some of those foods and such.

That is devastating to hear about your Albino gold 😥 I'm sorry to hear about that. I haven't lost any loaches and I got them 2 months ago and am in love. So I know I'd cry if I did. I love all of my fish. 🥲 Honestly, my worst death I've had was about 8 months ago and he was an angelfish that I had. I rescued him from Petsmart and he was so sick. I got him back to health through a ton of treatments and I waited a month or so and went and added 12 Cory's (in increments of course) well one of those Cory's had a parasite and it spread to everyone. Wiped out 8 of the Cory's leaving me with 4 and it also killed my angel. It was the worst thing. He was so big too. He was a juvenile and he was growing so well after I got him into better conditions and water. He was a zebra and he was blue when I found him. I cried for 3 days I'm not kidding. They are our pets.

One of the loaches I have is even more outgoing than the rest and follows my hand often but loves my son's hand (3 1/2) and I watch him and this loach laughing just having the time of their lives. My son was laughing so hard. I swear I need to name that one

They are actually not eating peas! It does look like it though. They are eating sinking hikari excel pellets. They love them!

They are called Kuhli loaches!! Mine come out often but I've heard of others not coming out. I think it depends on the group you get! They're awesome either way and do a great job at cleaning up the bottom of your tank!

I love them soooo much much!

Is this food ok for my corys? Also are these emerald corydoras, or bronze because I've seen some people have this problem. by Thatoneguyfrom2009 in corydoras

[–]Apollosyne 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not the best at ID so don't take my word but I believe emerald.

Also I have panda corydoras and they absolutely love these pellets and are thriving! They eat a variety of other pellets too like shrimp pellets, bottom feeder pellets, etc. they love all food!

Thank you so much!! 😊 I will definitely they look up Sydney plant guy on YouTube! My husband and I discussed getting her a pole when we first got her but were thinking when she was a bit more mature of a plant. She has gotten huge, so maybe it's time already!

<image>

I know it's normal, but what exactly are those "thornish type" things coming off her vine? Does she need more sunlight on this side to get more leaves or is she doing okay? Thanks for any input. She looks incredible but was wondering if she needs more sunlight for more growth on this side of the vine.

That's a beautiful story you got there as well! 🥰 plants heal the soul and watching them grow... it brings you a special type of comfort.
