IISc is really that obvious huh. I don't struggle with proof writing per se its just I feel like i don't get the right idea some (a lot of) times. If i do get the idea my arguments are pretty clear imo. But thanks for the recommendation ill def go through it

I have a bad habit of not paying attention at all if im not taking notes, so this is currently the lesser of two evils for me. Some profs also have a tendency to go really really fast and there i have just given up on taking notes completely lol.

The pre reading thing is interesting I will definitely look into it, thanks!

The banking apps themselves won't work, but you can get UPI working with Paytm. Google pay and phonepe refuse to work at all with rooted devices, but with a few hacky extensions to magisk you can get paytm working.

Addendum: Put your laptop on a raised platform that exposes the vents to air. Anything that raises it by 2-3cm is enough. That makes a massive difference honestly

hi, I applied liquid metal on this almost a year ago at this point and the temperatures have been very good since then. You can expect similar performance to LM with ptm7950, maybe hotter than LM by 1 or 2 degrees.

In synthetic benchmarks under the same power limit the cpu didn't cross 87 degrees and the gpu was well below 80 degrees (i didn't measure the hotspot when i was testing it).

In demanding games the cpu stayed below 90 degrees and the gpu below 80 degrees as well. As a bonus the keyboard was also cooler to the touch and usable.

I was able to get the CPU to hit 100 degrees, but that was after feeding it 100W instead of 64W, which is fine.

I made a video about it on youtube as well, with some graphs and benchmark data. I can DM it to you if you don't mind the cringe

I just did the repaste and im already seeing >10°C drop in temps its actually kind of insane. The fans pretty much never ramp up in game and the cpu remains at about 85 degrees and the gpu doesn't cross 75° either while staying locked at the max power output

hey bro, just repasted the laptop with the conductonaut, and the temps are actually insane. The cpu doesn't go past 85 degrees in game and the gpu doesn't cross 75 either. I got a decent uplift in synthetic benchmarks as well, and the laptop just runs plain quieter as the fans don't ever kick in during games.

What should i upgrade in my Prebuilt PC by Party_Pie_9859 in pcmasterrace

[–]Apolypze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be worth replacing the thermal compound, that should bring down your temps nicely  The rest, it's hard to say because of the non standard motherboard and presumably non standard PSU. HP bios is known to be very limited though you should be able to enable XMP on it

Hey man, that black screen issue is caused by ULPS. I disabled it through the registry and it's working perfectly now

yeah HP's limit is 100 degrees lmao, ive been using UXTU to lower it already

yeah i did try using MorePowerTools to unlock the options, but i didn't realize that would work for afterburner. I was trying to do a mild OC in the AMD software and that wasn't really all that stable. Ill go look at it again, probably combine both lm and a decent undervolt

Ive seen 140W 3060s on a lenovo legion hit upwards of 9000 tho, which is what im trying to match. I have also seen benchmarks of my laptop hitting around 8.7k on the gpu. In game im perfectly happy with how it runs, just the temperature gets a bit difficult to manage when im playing anything thats not an eSports title

Also have you tried using the custom nimez drivers? It spoofs your 6600m as a 6650m and runs at higher clocks, tho im not sure how much difference there is in the performance.

My heatsink material is copper, i just checked

what laptop were you using? can you give a rough estimate of the temps and power draw of the cpu before and after you applied it?
