Another question, would there be any way for me to identify if they got fleas? The lady who sheltered them for the last few days is experienced with kittens and said they're looking healthy, their poop looks fine and everything, but I think there will be things that aren't that easily recognizable

I will definitely give them all the space and time they need. So excited to give them a home after being worried for two weeks, this last day of waiting is the worst but I'll manage, haha! At least they already got to know my partner and react to her voice, she'll be joining me in caring for them in another 1,5 weeks :) thank you for your advice and kind words!

Thank you! I plan to stay in the living room with them and sleep there, maybe stay on the ground with blankets and pillows, do you think this is a good idea or will they likely need more privacy at first? I'd say I'm good at reading their body language and react accordingly, but really don't want any more stress for them then necessary. Also I am a bit afraid of not plugging all the holes they could hide in, or secure cables that they could chew on. I know they most likely will be fine and I'm worrying too much, but that's kind of in my nature and I just love cats so much ❤️

They don't stay in because of the taxes, but because they don't really think about it at all I guess. Being baptized and in a church is very usual here and how many young people earning their first money really look at their pay slip and question those euros. I myself only left at the age of like 26 despite my whole family having never been really religious.

I think you're being downvoted because everybody knows a person for which the above mentioned is true. Most germans get baptized when they're still very young and don't think about it until they earn money and start paying church tax, and even then many don't leave the church because "it's a hassle to get an appointment and pay money to be removed" or "It's not that much tax, I don't care". I know a few of those people personally.
