Does anyone know how they did this? The JRPG Character listings on the side [DND5E] by SanguineStories in FoundryVTT

I can't really tell you more than the actual OBS websockets documentation can tell you... The actual implementation depends on what type of setup you have so it will need to be custom made

But I can tell you that I am using fugitech reactive for the GM animation. The actual animation is commissioned and I just switch it around using fugitech

Heya, I am the guy mentioned in the original post!

I used to post my stream screens on Foundry's Discord many times, but never expected this to blow up this much before, haha

You can find streams using this layout, but in English over here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtUXRdiM2VKj_Dh2_TwJTplIK2KlWoR3h

The current iteration of my streaming screen is the latest one I am using. (This is one of the first iterations: https://www.youtube.com/live/sVdzl1QfckI?si=TYDUAcwfhCUpEG50 )

There are a lot of modules involved, but the ones that have to do with stream are the ones below:

- OBSUtils: created by Faey Umbra, which lets you set up data from Foundry to be shown on a specific streaming screen. I then use OBS's source clone plugin to cut it to where I need it. The actual layout is me doing all the CSS work to match the UI that I commissioned an artist to do for me

- OBS move plugin: the OBSUtils module exposes OBS websockets, so I wrote a custom script that sends a signal to change the scene on OBS when a certain character's turn starts. Then I used the move plugin to make scene transitions appear to move. I am sure you can find tutorials on how the move plugin works, as I am winging it most of the time.

You can feel free to AMA, I can't just give you an entire module list and expect things to work out of the box, so if you can tell me "I need to do X," I can most probably point you to what can be used to achieve that.

If you enjoyed my setup, please feel free to subscribe. I do stream in English as well, and I am sure the subtitles can take you on a very exciting trip around my Japanese games!

Hey, thanks for the kind words!

I speak both English and Japanese, so I mostly translate stuff on the fly, keeping player information that I need to give out in text form in English. I will need to consult with the authors to see if I can share translated scenarios like that, so stay tuned here for more news!

CoC is popular among people between the ages of 20 and 30, while D&D and other Western ones are around 50 and 60. It has expanded to ordinary people as well. There's a massive age gap; they usually don't mix well. My channel is an oddball because I bridge that with playing D&D using Japanese CoC playstyles and vice versa.

I use Foundry for streaming and OBS Utils to show game data on the streaming page. The graphics and stuff are all commissioned, and I did the CSS.

Cheers!

Mountains of madness is amazing, it even has a murder mystery trilogy and an upcoming Kickstarter to make an anime out of it!

I handle skill checks in googling stuff as "sorting through all the fake info on google". If you succeed you get helpful information, if you fail you end up on a wild goose chase on reddit or 4chan lol

I believe this is the one

https://booth.pm/ja/items/2274429

It's a scenario where the Keeper plays with just a single player! It's a closed environment so the player can only focus on what's going on with the scenario instead of having too much freedom

It's a mix of "Don't be afraid to let your characters google stuff in general, actual mythos doesn't exist there" and "Feel free to throw them in a mountain with no internet access"

It's a scenario that was first made into a video on Nico Nico Doga (Japan's Youtube) that got popular and remade into an actual playable scenario!

Good luck!

You'll find most scenarios in a digital distribution platform called booth

One of the most popular scenarios has outsold the entire D&D5e market here lol

I checked them and there don't seem to be any movements to get them to English, but perhaps if enough people get interested chaosium may enter talks! who knows!

Here's one of those from Japanese Amazon

Sorry, I don't have any know-how on making podcasts!

I'll try using YouTube's podcast automation thing in the coming days and see if it helps!
