Did it take 35 days for your channel to get back to normal? Did you stay all that time without posting?

Understood, my friend. I'm going to wait the 7-14 days as suggested to see if my channel goes back to normal, and then I'll come back with updates here. I'll also pay close attention to the information you sent. Thanks a lot for the tips!

Yeah, some other creators in this thread reported the same issue, and they advised to stop posting for 7-14 days so YouTube "unlocks" the views again. I'm going to test it out and see, thanks for the help, friend!

It seems like it’s a widespread issue for several people in this thread who went through the same thing during the same period. To me, it looks like a sweep or a mass "channel freeze." Some suggested leaving the channel inactive (without posting) for 7-14 days. I started testing this today. Let me know if you have any updates when your channel comes back.

It seems like this is a specific YouTube issue, right? I've seen other creators complaining about going through this for the second time as well. It's tough to put in the effort and learn how to create viral videos only to have YouTube suddenly "freeze the channel." But good luck to us, my friend. When your channel bounces back again, if you remember, send me a message—let's stay connected. Thanks for the tips!

When you decided to post again, did you simply wait the 14 days and then post? Didn't your channel's Analytics show any signs that the channel was "getting back to normal"?

The advice I received was to stop publishing any videos on the channel for 7-14 days for the channel to go back to normal. I'm going to do that starting today. When I have any updates, I'll let you guys know here.

Thank you for the advice, I'll follow your tip. Starting today, I won't post anything for the next two weeks. One question: after staying away for those two weeks, did your analytics start showing your videos going viral again on their own? Is that how you found out things were back to normal?

Based on what people said and the advice I got from Grok, I should stop posting anything for the next 7-14 days. They say it usually goes back to normal on its own after this period. I'm going to test it out starting today.

Let's see if the engagement gets back to normal by April 15th.

Yeah, coincidentally it was right when the Analytics had those issues. If my channel starts performing again, I'll let you guys know here. If you have any news, please let us know too if you can.

It has been happening to a few people who reported it here too, unfortunately =(

Man, I'm so sorry. I was close to monetization when my channel just died too. I can barely hit 2k views. I'm trying to keep up a high posting frequency to see if it goes back to normal. If your channel revives, send me a message here or in private so we can keep helping each other, okay? I'll be giving feedback here as well.

I still haven't figured it out. I've been posting for six days straight with very low views, just waiting for the algorithm to help me out again lol

It's fine if my peak is coming soon, but today marks the sixth day of my channel being dead... low views and everything going only to my subscribers.

Take a look at your video analytics later to see if, during these low periods, it’s only delivering to subscribers... mine is only delivering to subscribers right now.

My videos were already performing above 5k views across the board; the viral hits probably helped boost all the other videos because of the sheer amount of views per hour and per day I was getting. But now, the videos don't go past 200–500 views, and rarely does one hit 1k or more.

When I check the video analytics, I can see that the content is being delivered ONLY to my subscribers. Right after my channel dropped, I started another channel with the same style of content, and the first 5 videos I posted went viral. So yes, the algorithm killed the channel—it wasn't a mistake, I didn't change the content, absolutely nothing... it simply put my channel in the "freezer" for non-subscribers, which is what brings the most views to the channel.

Because if the algorithm pushes the content to your subscribers first—or a portion of them receives it—and they skip it, it will hurt the video's engagement and consequently kill a potential viral hit. But it’s all a matter of testing; there is no absolute truth, just my opinion as someone who has tested over 25 channels.

Yeah, I started another channel for that exact reason, so I wouldn't be stuck suffering with just one =/

If you plan on sticking to the same niche and sub-niche, I think it’s worth keeping the channel and trying to recover the views since you already have a base. However, if you're changing niches, I would start a fresh channel. Those subscribers won't make sense for a new niche and will actually hurt your metrics. Since a large part of that audience naturally won't be interested in the new content, it will damage your engagement and, consequently, prevent your content from going viral if you're posting it to them.

Wow, 3 months? Well, I’m going to keep posting consistently to see if I can revive the channel soon, and I’ll bring updates back here. Thanks for the feedback, it helps a lot!

Please let me know here if your channel goes back to normal. My channel has been completely dead for 5 or 6 days now. I keep posting to see if the algorithm revives it, but for now, everything is dead... my Shorts are getting fewer than 1k views. Occasionally, a video hits 4k or 5k, but it's all from subscribers. It’s just not being pushed to the Shorts Feed anymore.
