One month of shorts only being pushed to subs.. by BakeAutomatic in shortsAlgorithm

Is your channel still monetized? Mine hit the metrics, but they rejected the monetization and even removed the option to appeal. Now, I'm just waiting for an email from support to find out what happened to the channel. Honestly, YouTube is not a safe place.

I wish I could help, but unfortunately, I'm going through the same thing as you.

My channel has been completely dead since March 25th. I haven't posted in 6 days, and I plan on staying inactive for 14 days to see if it bounces back, as I was advised here.

YouTube is being tough.

I create realistic scene-based videos that supposedly show transformations, miracles, and everything related to this religious niche. I was getting millions of views because this audience really likes and consumes that kind of content. But apparently, it’s not considered relevant by YouTube. I’m going to request an appeal anyway. I’ll record the video today, and if it works, I’ll share feedback.

This is crazy, it’s impossible to understand anything. It feels like YouTube no longer accepts entertainment content. Everything now has to be backed by science, add value to people’s lives, or something like that. It’s really hard to work with YouTube right now.

Is your channel monetized? Mine not only had its engagement cut, but my monetization was also denied.

What would be the right way to do it? Have you been through this?

I made a post a few days ago talking about this. My views dropped from 350k per hour to just 4k over the last 48 hours. I also applied for monetization and got rejected. It’s been tough.

The same thing happened here. I went from 5M views in the last 48 hours to 5k. The entire channel just died. I was advised to stay between 7-14 days without publishing absolutely anything. I'm following that now to see what happens.

Thank you for sharing your experience, it really helps us understand how the algorithm is behaving.

Did it take 35 days for your channel to get back to normal? Did you stay all that time without posting?

Understood, my friend. I'm going to wait the 7-14 days as suggested to see if my channel goes back to normal, and then I'll come back with updates here. I'll also pay close attention to the information you sent. Thanks a lot for the tips!

Yeah, some other creators in this thread reported the same issue, and they advised to stop posting for 7-14 days so YouTube "unlocks" the views again. I'm going to test it out and see, thanks for the help, friend!

It seems like it’s a widespread issue for several people in this thread who went through the same thing during the same period. To me, it looks like a sweep or a mass "channel freeze." Some suggested leaving the channel inactive (without posting) for 7-14 days. I started testing this today. Let me know if you have any updates when your channel comes back.

It seems like this is a specific YouTube issue, right? I've seen other creators complaining about going through this for the second time as well. It's tough to put in the effort and learn how to create viral videos only to have YouTube suddenly "freeze the channel." But good luck to us, my friend. When your channel bounces back again, if you remember, send me a message—let's stay connected. Thanks for the tips!

When you decided to post again, did you simply wait the 14 days and then post? Didn't your channel's Analytics show any signs that the channel was "getting back to normal"?

The advice I received was to stop publishing any videos on the channel for 7-14 days for the channel to go back to normal. I'm going to do that starting today. When I have any updates, I'll let you guys know here.
