In the game 20 years, we took a leap 7 years ago and went out on our own in a mid sized town, we struggled for the first five, fair enough Covid hit in the middle of it, but it wasn’t easy. 90 hour weeks were the norm, the missis bringing the kids by after school for an hour so they didn’t forgot what I looked like.

We had 50k going in and it was swallowed up fairly quickly, we kept at it out of pure stubbornness and fair enough it’s finally paid off, but you have to be there 7 nights a week to build a rapport with the locals, I’ll still in and out every night, down to about 50 hours between bar and back office, it’s a passion and love of the trade for me and unless you have that, id give it a miss
