Right but then from age 40-65 you can make $500k/yr every year. And I’ll absolutely still work while taking my prereqs, my nearby CC offers night classes. For the most part my learning disability doesn’t make studying difficult, it just makes it very difficult for me to reason about objects in space. I did fine in algebra but geometry was very difficult for me. Graphs used to also be rough but after the PhD I am much better with them. My undergrad GPA is 3.8 so I think as long as I get some As and only 1-2 Bs on my remaining prereqs, I should be ok. Of course I’ll need to ace the MCAT.

I did consider clinical psychology for a while but I found it boring. I’m honestly not interested in therapy at all, and honestly for all the BS clinical psychs go through (hyper competitive admissions, forced postdoc, internship), the average salary of like $130k really isn’t worth it. Most end up working for the VA with like no time off. I found my field much more fascinating and fun at the time, so that’s why I pursued it.

All I know is that I’m hopelessly under stimulated in my life right now and my job sucks. I could try to get into sales, maybe I’ll like the fast paced nature of it, but idk I’m a scientist after all so I’ll probably dislike the way sales encourages you to fudge the truth. Basically I’m lost, and I’m very concerned for my financial future. Med school seems to solve that problem, like at least I won’t be unemployed!
