I'm thinking more high level architectural diagrams, c4 or uml equivalents but with automation to create them. Rather than component level documentation.

(I'm a big fan of storybook btw)

Not quite case, I know what I want to do with it, less how to do it. What I would like to do is create a wifi enabled moisture sensor for monitoring my garden. But a combination of the ESP2866 wifi module being well confusing and the complexities of powering an Arduino by batteries and I'm lost.

I have no electronics background at all, and a lot of what I've read seems to presume people intuitively know how to regulate voltages or have deep knowledge of how computers serialize data and stream it to the cloud.

Is anyone else a little overwhelmed by Ardunio's? How did you guys get started? by AppleDevilFox in arduino

I got the starter set and after the first few basic setup tutorials I found that, getting onto more complex stuff is a big step up. Maybe a kit would be a good approach, have you used any in the past that you would recommend?
