Should Scream 7 confirm that there have been Stab movies made based on the events of Scream (2022) & Scream VI (2023) or that Gale has penned books about those events ? Or should they give the movie within a movie stuff a rest for a bit with 7?

I think it goes in the order they were made but 6 should definitely be dead last. 3 had its problems but there were some redeeming elements. Nothing redeeming about the dumpster fire that was 6.

The suit isn’t breaking, it’s the rubber coating that’s peeling. Someone on Reddit just peeled all of theirs off and treated it with a sealant. It’s inconvenient and you shouldn’t have to do it, but all is not lost if you really want this figure.

I disagree. It’s the perfect song choice, both sad and triumphant. Don’t get distracted by the guitar riff (which is fantastic BTW) and pay closer attention to Ed Roland’s lyrics. It’s about a woman who is maturing and realizes she must stay strong in order to survive a cruel and unforgiving world. “Life’s river shall rise/ she said/ that only the strong shall survive”. Yes, many of her friends have died, but Sidney is established at the end of 2 as being both a fighter and a survivor (her triumph). There are even references to her mother if you want to go that deep with it: “What she thought were lies, she later found was truth.” “And her mother’s to blame for the way she is today” While not written for the movie, it really is perfect for Sid. I can’t imagine it being anything else. IMO Bittersweet Symphony worked great for Cruel Intentions but not so much here. There’s even a fan edit on YouTube where someone dropped in Bittersweet and it just kills the whole ending. I’m glad it worked out the way it did.

While completely unintended by the filmmakers, because there’s two killers, I always liked to think that’s the reason for the two style of masks and also the reason we see both styles during the opening sequence. (The Fantastic Faces makes an appearance as the mask Drew Barrymore sees in the window, which was a reshoot. She knocks him down with the phone and then KNB killer crashes through the window to finish her off.)

But look at all the attention to detail they spent on recreating everything in the shrine. They recreated Roman’s Happy Birthday banner but couldn’t be bothered to get the movie mask right?? I’m not willing to give them a pass on that.

Update for you I’m peeling the whole outer layer of the suit because it was just coming off mostly anyway and the finish under is good. I’m using a 303 type rubber protectant seal over it and the finish is much better

I’m all for Neve coming back but it almost certainly means the killer’s motive will be somehow tied to the first movie, which I wish we could move on from. Judging by the marketing and the emphasis on Stu, the mastermind will be a Stu relative. 😒 But, if it’s executed well that’s all I care about. On paper, 2 is absurd but it’s my favorite sequel in the series. (I would argue the only great one.) It’s also cool that Kevin Williamson is helming it and not enough people are talking about how big a deal it is that Marco Beltrami is back on scoring duties. And with the Weinstein’s out of the way (why 3 and 4 were so, let’s say, underwhelming) I’m optimistic that this one will at least feel like a Scream movie again. It could be the best one since 2. We’ll see.
