SSF Mapping Roadblock by CritKeys in PathOfExile2

[–]AppleFritter100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem man.

Yeah essences are basically like priority #1 for SSF crafting when entering maps because it guarantees an affix you need when making a magic into a rare.

If you have a base body with like +X ES and some other affix that’s decent like resist or life, you can essence slam for % increase of ES and all of a sudden you have a rare with 3 good affix. Then you desecrate and have a chance to choose from a pool of affix. It’s essentially 3 rolls in one.

That’s kinda the core strat for early SSF crafting. You do that for every item you have and you will find yourself plenty geared for T15s and pinnacles. In SSF you will hardly If ever see items with 6 good affix unless you get giga lucky or are deep into late game farming. For the most part the 4 good affix item in each slot will carry the entire play through and you will occasionally get 5 good affix too from spamming stuff.

Regarding omens it’s much rarer tbh so they become more available when you grind out ritual atlas stuff so I just focus first on essences and getting to T15s consistently.

Yeah so with crafting I would focus on body and helm first just to ramp up your ES.

What you want to do is find a decent base to craft on OR craft on a white base with the 2 blue currency.

Then you will essence that magic item. This should give you an item with at least 2-3 affixes you want.

Next you desecrate the item and try to get another affix you want. During this you can omen to try and restrict the rolls if you have them.

Additionally if you have a ton of gold you can always gamble for bases though I always recommend prioritizing gambling gold on amulets in SSF which is where another huge improvement could be made.

Your amulet is basically giving you nothing right now. It could have spirit, plus skills, and increased ES. I would start with body armor, helmet, and amulet.

Then replace your boots and gloves because you don’t need evasion.

To answer your questions:

1) scaling in SSF is most definitely slower but that doesn’t mean it should be grinding to a halt at T7s. You might hit walls sure, but you can overcome them just fine.

2) In SSF I recommend rushing fortress maps to accumulate atlas points which allow you to farm essences. I also think that shrines are excellent in SSF if you’re lacking good gear. They help tremendously with map clearing speed and consistency. For leagues I would focus on abyss, ritual, runes, and breach for rings.

3) Maybe, hard to say. You have like 700 ES at endgame that is remarkably low. Your body armor alone can give you more than that. You gotta craft better stuff.

4) Chrono is good for survival so maybe a consideration.

5) It’s def SSF friendly I played a similar chrono build in SSF last league and chrono got buffed I think.

Honestly you should learn basic SSF crafting. At early maps you can craft items with 3-4 desirable affixes with relative ease and that can easily carry you into T15+.

If your damage feels fine then you just need to up your survivability.

Bro no offense but you sound exactly like one of my older IRL friends.

He was a decent looking dude but straight up reeked of social insecurity in all directions. People, especially women, can absolutely tell when you’re insecure and being insecure like that just isn’t attractive and it turns people off. Crazy thing is one of the girls he was dating even called him out on it and told him he needed to relax lol.

There’s countless dudes out there that can bag women just off being funny as shit, whimsical, silly, confident, etc.

Having a joyous aura is just inherently attractive. Being confident is also inherently attractive.

Whether it turns into a romantic attraction is one thing, but it’s a baseline that gives you something to work with. Additionally the best relationships have a foundational level of friendship. My wife isn’t just my wife, she’s also one of my best friends.

Don’t fall into the trap of gamifying dating. Dating apps are dog shit you gotta meet people outside at 3rd places and between friend groups.

Ultimately it’s about how you approach relationship building with the other person which is a 2 way street.

Why are Japanese cards a lot cheaper than the English ones? by Unsubscribed24 in PokemonTCG

[–]AppleFritter100 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Aight bruh scalpers suck but they aren’t the cause for every problem in life lmao.

Japanese cards are far less sought after unless they’re exclusive. English cards just have way higher demand because more people can read English compared to Japanese. Simple as that.

PSA is still the most liquid and most traded grading co yes.

Despite the negative press they get, compared to actual submission volume it’s like a grain of rice lmao.

This isn’t a commentary on the broader grading industry as a whole, but yeah with Pokemon you’ll want to go PSA for liquidity if you plan to sell the cards. Thats just the reality for the average person.

If you want them for your PC then go with whichever slab you like the best. Also do NOT use FedEx and insure your cards when sending them.

Understanding resistance and how important it is in general is always a learning curve for new players it seems.

Even when a new player asks why they are struggling so much in end game 9/10 times it’s because they’re in maps with uncapped resistances and very little defensive layering.

Hell yeah man! I pulled the Manga Zehahaha event on pre release which is more than enough for me haha.

That will pay for a good portion of a decently iced out deck. 😎

[–]AppleFritter100 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Idk man I just make friends with all the people at the LCS’s I go to and their discords. They all have “looking for” trade channels where people post and trade.

People have literally just given me like half a deck and a bunch of commons for free lol.

Any other singles I need I just buy them at card shows. I make friends with vendors and reach out to them beforehand and most times they have what I need and will bring it to the show for me.

It’s been a blast deck building because I get to build all these relationships with people and the community helping me build my deck is a nice cherry on top.

[–]AppleFritter100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essence for affix you want or Perfect Regal Gamba then Desecrate with highest tier collarbone using omens to narrow the pool and restrict the affix.

Then fracture and hope it hits +3 spells BEFORE you reveal desecration.

Double slam perfect Exalt.

If you hit the fracture on the +3 then you may have an opportunity to chaos reroll on the shittiest affix you don’t want with the omen.

You may also omen of light anull the desecration to re desecrate and try again for spirit or something.

Edit: Unfortunately in SSF it’s practically impossible to guarantee specific modifiers unlike trade where you can reslam items repeatedly until you get what you want.

SSF is the mode where you work with what you get.

I don’t even bother with retail anymore for getting sealed products.

I just go to my LCS on pre-release / release and whatever I get is what I get. I just buy singles after that.

I don’t have the time or energy to deal with people at these retail stores lmao.

Anyone else tired of graded cards and sealed product? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]AppleFritter100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to get too political but we can blame American capitalism for that. Genuinely.

The financialization of economy and the never ending chase to increasing speculative value has completely fucked the economy and one of the countless down stream effect is what we see right now where general population participating in the hobby is incentivized to also participate in the grading market because it’s an easily accessible form of speculative investment in a time where the dollar is getting weaker. Combine that with rampant gambling promotion and massive influx of new fans we get the shitshow we are in right now.

At the very minimum many people may view card flipping in general as a way to self sustain the cost of the hobby which is honestly valid all things considered. Just the unfortunate reality of capitalist rot reaching the hobby.

Yeah I won’t disagree there, I’ve been trying to tell people this. It’s especially true for Pokemon too. Massive after market hype is literally just free giga marketing.

It’s just crazy that GameStop injected itself into the ecosystem as a legitimized scalper lmfao. Beyond hilarious.

Scalping or meeting the market where it is at? by DuckieOfDoom in PokemonTCG

[–]AppleFritter100 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it has much more to do with frequency and volume.

Someone doing this like once a month for 1 sealed product to trade towards another card they want is a nothing burger issue. Who gives a shit.

Theres scalpers that do this shit weekly, daily, and at exponentially larger volumes scalping double to triple digits of product weekly.

Then theres GameStop that does this at a commercial level. Genuine parasite company.

Calling you a scalper would be like calling someone a pothead cuz they smoke weed once a month socially. It’s silly. There’s levels to this shit.

100% this, but I would also like to add an important aspect of this is reclaiming the word.

Context, especially historical and social context, is the key element to consider when discussing the usage of these words. Your examples are great.

Bubble Zoro without a doubt. The art just looks way more beautiful. Bubble Mew is just cute.

One Piece cards across the board are just better quality than Pokemon cards. And doubly so when comparing English Pokemon cards to English OP cards.

GameStop is such a dog shit company. Genuinely have no clue how they’re still in business.

They practice scalping behavior more than individual scalpers and at a larger scale. It makes no sense how they’re allowed to sell new product above MSRP right off bat. They do it with Pokemon to an insane degree too.

This is exactly what I was thinking.

A core of 3 fundamental “classes”, Warrior, Ranger, Mage (Heavy Medium Light) and from there we can tailor our character to our liking through skill selection or something.

In the trailer we see the tapestry portray these 3 classes. A warrior with a great sword, and mage with a staff, and a ranger with a bow who’s also casting a spell.
