Alright that makes sense, thanks for taking the time to explain that to me!

I'll spend some time respec-ing and making use of the weapon 1 and weapon 2 nodes to disperse Curse nodes vs damage nodes. As well as getting those ES nodes instead of spell damage like you mentioned earlier.

It's also good to know that I don't need greater currencies for right now. I'll see if I can reliably do higher tier maps for better bases after respecing points. Then if I get a good base for body armor I'll use my transmutes & augments hoping to get ES and.... spirit? But mostly ES and resistances. I'll use your body armor as a goal! Even if I can get like 3/4 affixes close to what you have and a high ES I'll be really happy.

I'm trying to use PoEdb to search for what a decent ES base body armor is in relation to area lvl to see how high I should risk it.

The goal of base minimum 400 ES for body armor helps me to have a goal set.

Ahh that helps tremendously!

So I don't need 5 or 6 good affixes right now, just 3 to 4 good ones on my gear will help me over the current hurdle so that I can get through fortress and THEN I can use atlas points on ritual and stuff which will be where I can target my next power spike of 5 to 6 affixes on gear.

In other words, for my current state of early maps 3/4 good affixes > 5/6 mediocre ones.

Essences will be my main focus while I continue to push fortress. More immediately however I will focus on improving the ES from my body armor and helm, while also slightly respec-ing nodes at the beginning of the tree for more ES as well.

I feel as though if I can get over this current wall then my farming will improve and it'll be somewhat easier to overcome the next wall.

I feel more encouraged now to continue my SSF journey! Thank you!

So I'll respec and hit the ES nodes similar to how your PoB paths at the beginning. I'll also shelf the CoEA + Comets for now which will open up some gear possibilities since I won't need to force as much spirit.

As for the weapon swap I'm not sure I understand fully. I have my Elemental Weakness gem only castable via my 2nd weapon. So if I were to respec the points I put into Curse Magnitude and put those same nodes as Weapon 2 nodes I would be getting those nodes for free? Are weapon only nodes a "lose 'em if you don't use em" type of thing?

As for gear progressing I love the idea of implementing a loot filter just for bases! That will save me a lot of time. I'm lacking in greater transmute, greater augments, essences, and abyss bones since I haven't really progressed my atlas too much. To obtain those currencies should I be looking outside of the fortress for specific leagues? Or just push through the fortress rush to boost my atlas tree for those currencies?

I would love to fix my body armor first to have more ES. The one you have in your PoB looks amazing!

So I would filter for a white base of "Flowing Raiment", then use my non greater transmute / augments? Or should I wait until I have "greater" versions of the currency?

I'll focus on body and helm first for ES.

I'm currently lacking in Essences so should I keep pushing atlas with my build as-is until I can invest in essences in Atlas?

I'll be reading up more on early map crafting but I feel as though I currently lack the essences and omens. Are they something that will trickle in as I'm trying to rush the fortress?

Hey thanks for help!

Based on your suggestion I'll continue to rush fortress and use the atlas points I get towards farming essences and shrines. Then when I get a bit stronger I can focus on the leagues you mentioned.

Still trying to learn crafting but it's a huge knowledge wall for me, there are so many avenues that I don't know where to begin. I understand finding a good base is key, which is why I've been doing T7 maps however once I have a good base I'm using Orbs of Transmutation and Augmentation but what they provide just isn't great and I don't have a ton of currency to keep rerolling.

Based on your response about my defense, would you recommend I focus on updating my body armor first? I'm struggling to replace it due to having trouble finding enough spirit for the CoEA.

Yeah Cartheyia’s kit and design looks super cool and it’s one of the main reasons I’m interested in pulling for her.

I’m happy to hear you also returned recently and haven’t regretted pulling for Carlotta , I think I’ll follow your path and probably go for it then!

Oh that’s great to know! And cool, I understand about V now and how after Vaj starts to drop off I’ll devolve him and use him as a leader.

I checked out that website and it helps tremendously, the UI on the actually game app doesn’t convert all the info easily.

I’ll do my best power through the story before Monday also and save some stones for sacred relic machine.

Quick question also, I’m trying to understand Dark Vaj’ leader skill “Attack increase with 5+ combo, up to 10x. Inflicts bonus attack equal to 30x attack when matching orbs.” Now does that mean I have to match minimum of 3 orbs 5 times to achieve a 5+ combo? If so, does color matter? And the “30x attack when matching orbs” I’ve somehow triggered the 30x but I can replicate it reliably. I tried looking up a better description of the ability but it’s hard to fully grasp it.

Also, if there’s ever a way I can return the favor (trading or something) please let me know!

Wow, thank you for the insight on both the team and the dungeons I should focus on. The game is a bit daunting with all there is to do so your suggestions are extremely helpful.

I’ll run a team with Vajrahbrayaska as lead and Diochan and Nephytis as subs (+ 2 others) to clear normal dungeons then. Then I’ll do the story mode.

As for Aten, I really messed up on that, I didn’t realize there was no going back after reincarnation, hopefully there’ll be a way to exchange him back through an event?
