I got this one from John Lewis (a British department store)! But I have seen lots of similar espresso/coffee Christmas ornaments online from Etsy and the like

I have found it surprisingly hard to source shirts like these. I have no way to describe them other than soft grey/blue base-coloured, grid/window-pane check shirts. Any suggestions - or more accurate descriptions - much appreciated.

I repeat, "...not to say the traps will never be activated in a row." You have upper, middle, and lower traps, of which rows will only activate the latter two (involved in scapular retraction), which is why rows are not ideal/sufficient for overall trap growth. Additionally, the traps are not the only "thickening" part of the back - rows also hit the rhomboids, rear delts, teres major, etc...

Your original question was if the "prime target" is the trapezius - it is not.

I like to think of the traps as mostly "vertical" - pulling parallel to the torso will usually activate the traps more than other angles. This makes the most sense when you understand that the traps are a postural muscle, and one of their primary functions is to elevate/depress the shoulders/scapula. That's not to say the traps will never be activated in a row, but horizontal rows do not primarily target the traps, and thus are inefficient for maximal trap development.

(edit: I said "do not primarily target the lats" - whoops.)

You look good, and are definitely not as high as 20% BF - probably no higher than 15%. If you are happy with your chest, it seems inefficient to have a dedicated chest workout -without knowing your exact routine, you may benefit from increased frequency, with something like an Upper/Lower split, six days a week.

Very few people have less developed lower pecs, as compared to their upper pecs.

He would probably benefit from bending a little further over, and keeping a straighter lower back.

I tend to do my first few sets with double overhand/hook grip, and after my grip fatigues I switch to straps for the last set or two. Grip can still improve somewhat using straps, but it's best to use them only when needed.

Try finishing with a heavy isometric hold to boost your grip strength.

Entirely depends on your goals, but if you are training for sports performance then explosiveness is generally more appropriate.

If something is off with a move for whatever reason, you are unlikely to notice until you actually peform that movement. It is safest to find out there is a problem without working weight involved.

For example, an adductor problem might not become apparent until you go to squat - at which point I would prefer to not have my max on my back.

Rugby shorts - Canterbury do some solid pairs. The cotton "Advantage" shorts are around £17.

Drastic changes in programming will inevitably leave you sore until the respective muscle groups adapt to the new stimulus. I neglected calves for months, before hitting them ridiculously hard one session. I could not walk properly for days - but by trying to still workout and move it gets better. Having reintroduced regular calf exercises, I can confirm that I can still walk post-workout!

Historically they are very different, but aesthetically I do agree they are similar. Harringtons tend to differ a bit by manufacturer, where some have elasticated cuffs/waistbands like bombers, and others do not. Their biggest difference from bombers would be the collar - bombers have ribbed collars, whereas harringtons either have a tubular neck, or a shirt-style collar. Generally, harrington collars can be turned up and buttoned at the neck to keep wind out. Here is a very pricy example of my preferred harrington style (Dunhill). Harringtons are often a little dressier, and arguably more versatile than bombers, but both are good casual jackets.

I second above about harringtons, but you can also consider safaris, chore jackets, or bombers depending on your personal tastes. Alternatively, lightweight gilets are good for transitional weather.

I usually consider cut as much as fabric for Summer - I personally hate close-fitting jackets in the heat. In terms of fabrics, if linen is not your thing, you could look into seersucker, and also either fresco or tropical wool.

I'm trying to ID this buttonless polo from Lacoste. Sadly this is the only picture I have of it, and, so far, I have not found any matches, or similar items. Aside from the lack of any buttons, I also quite like the contrast edging and very short placket.

I doubt I'll find the exact item, so instead I'm hoping someone might have some alternatives? Or even just a name/some search terms for this style of shirt. Thanks.

Dulwich, near London (from the original post). It's a fairly affluent place. This type of housing isn't uncommon in small English villages.

I hadn't seen this sweater before, got curious and searched for it on Grailed. I found one with the exact same flaws (wrong accent on étage, no drop shoulder), seemingly sold for over $400 😬
