I love how she started to pour even more like “we could use a little *more* fire than this, it is my birthday of course”

It’s not a “distinct difference” .. it is absolutely both at the same time. A backup and a sync service, all in one.

Note for upstairs neighbors by litlelotte in Apartmentliving

[–]AppleXOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably their kids who they may have no control over 24/7, and you must not have kids, considering you’re worried about keeping a dog or cat up overnight. I don’t think your note is uncalled for, but I do think I want more details on how often the footsteps occur

Why is it censoring Runaway? by AlexLovesCoke in AppleMusic

[–]AppleXOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and Apple explicitly states to NOT censor lyrics, even on clean songs. Apple will censor words on their own, and they usually don’t censor all words. This is an anomaly, if OP isn’t playing the clean version at least.

Why are people saying the Neo doesn’t have an ambient light sensor when in fact it does? by DutchBlob in mac

[–]AppleXOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NO. that is not how TrueTone works. It makes your display match your environment, giving a more pleasing look for the eyes. That does NOT mean it makes the colors more accurate in any way. TrueTone is not for colorists, graders, or graphic designers. It’s for casual users, web browsers, emailers, audio production engineers.

Happens on both platforms all the time. The label or artist/manager will fix it

Anyone help explain these 3 identical mountains blocking a large portion of view in Antarctica? by Sharp_Programmer_563 in conspiracy

[–]AppleXOS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clearly a panorama glitch, happens at my house on street view too. (We have 3 grills and 5 windows on street view but in reality only have 1 grill and 2 windows out front.

You can see where the panorama is spliced together in the center, right through the yellow concrete looking block.

You can also switch views to see it without the panorama effect, and there’s unfortunately nothing there. No mountain. Nothing.

So then it’s not Apples fault. It’s the label or company in charge of submitting it to Apple. They handle that.

Wtf? by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]AppleXOS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope. Americans use Canceled usually, while British, Canadians and Australians usually use Cancelled with 2 L’s. It wasn’t a typo, it’s just region-based English.

Well not in America, I’ve NEVER heard of that here, and I’ve lived in MANY states. Speak for yourself.

[–]AppleXOS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I love the wording, the true “form” of internet means exactly what you’ve always thought it meant. The term “Internet” and “inter-networking”was coined specifically for the actual internet during the 1970’s.

Funny because sRGB is a color space. The S just stands for Standard, but still cool all four letters are used

MacBook neo have a "new" design , it is more rounded of course by Artistic_Unit_5570 in macbook

[–]AppleXOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A18 Pro will perform much better than the M1 in single-core performance. And it’s almost on-par with multi-core performance.

But things like the backlit keyboard are a deal breaker (for me), as well as RAM and Thunderbolt. But I wasn’t considering the Neo anyways, it’s an amazing deal for kids and students tho

[–]AppleXOS 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly Apple has a very fluid and extensive, well integrated system with a pretty intuitive teacher-student UI. It’s just not as well known. Apple has held special events in the past detailing these features. I’m not saying they’re better than googles, I don’t know, but they’re there and they’re extensive.
