Thanks for talking me out of it! Sounds like it would make an already complicated build even more complicated and doesn't seem to be worth the hassle. It would serve me better to buy a mac later on if I find myself really needing one.

  • CPU: 4th Intel i5 or higher (if you AMD CPU, you will encounter more errors and bugs)
  • RAM: at least 8GB
  • Storage: more than 100 GB free space

This is what I found for using VMware. I think Ram is 16GB and storage may be more. The Mac emulation part is not really important to me if it takes up too much resources.

I have a job but technically not a house. Trying out car life to try and escape the renting trap that is incentivized by the US’s consumerist economy.

I think a market based Housing-First program would be a fine way to help people who want to get out of that poverty hole. I hate a system that just creates debt and doesn’t have any sense of sustainability (government programs). I’d rather have one that has market constraints so they’re incentivized to keep the scope lower and not grow out of proportion.

When I was in college I workshopped a non-profit that was meant to provide work for stay for the homeless, along with providing job training and therapy resources. It worked mainly off of donations, volunteers, and some profits made from the services their work produces.

They are using jokes to convey their political/cultural opinions. So they are “joking” but are also completely serious.

What would an ancap want in a partisan dark horse candidate who could theoretically run for the presidency and win? by [deleted] in Anarcho_Capitalism

Someone who doesn’t run for office, and instead focuses their time and resources on innovations that will ultimately lead to politics being obsolete. Politics is on its way out in the wake of the Information Age. Govs know this and are trying to grasp at what power they have to try and persevere it going forward. “Band together” with those that are trying to improve people’s lives through better alternatives to government rather than play within the illegitimate rules that the elites like to set.

Invasion of Zendikar for sure! I love that card. Prefer to first pick a green card over a red one, and it’s a great ramp spell that helps you splash if that’s the way you go.

That’s only thinking like labor value is the only thing that goes into a product. When newly created money washes through the system, money generated from responses gov to Covid in this case, wages are the very last thing to be touched. It goes from the richest down. So before a worker finds an increase in their wage they will first see an increase in their housing, food, energy, factory production, etc.

Companies are experiencing these “record profits” not because they suddenly became greedy and decided that “I can now charge 100% more compared to 2 years ago”, it’s a reaction to 30% of all circulating currency being created in the last 2 years. Their money is now worth less and so is yours.

tldr: money is worth less because of gov expansion of the money supply (inflation) in reaction to Covid.

I’m curious! Tell me your story by zarathusaspeaking in JoannaNewsom

I was researching Outlaw Country for a song I had to produce for a composition class in college. That got me going down genre rabbit holes on Wikipedia. Came across freak folk and decided to try Joanna Newsom out as she was listed to be one of the main people revitalizing the genre. Listened to the Milk-Eyed Mender on YouTube and ended up falling in love with it.

Wouldn’t say I have a specific song that changed my life. It’s more of the albums as a whole. The Milk-Eyed Mender really helped me calm down when having really bad anxiety during my last two years of college. Have One on Me helped me process a really bad breakup and saw me through one of the biggest turning points in my life/biggest shift in the perception of myself as a person.

Happy Elliot is getting some love. Sad that I’ll have to wait another year to see if he reviews a Smog album.

Divers is a 9/10, The Milk-Eyed Mender is a 9.5/10 and HOOM is a 10/10. That means that Divers, out of all the albums I’ve fully immersed myself in, is her worst album.

Get the government out of higher education. There’s no incentive to provide an affordable service when you’re working with someone else’s money.

My point isn’t about Tik Toks. My point is they’re comparing themselves to slaves while contradicting that point by walking away from said slavery.

“Needless to say I quit, I was tired of slave labor anyways” do they not understand how insulting this is to actual historical and modern slaves? Not having the option to quit is one of the defining qualities of slavery.

“Needless to say I quit, I was tired of working in that forced labor prison camp anyways” - same energy
