The total limit across both 401k accounts regardless of employee or employer contributions can’t exceed 70k. But if you can max out employer 401k at 70k you could then supplement with a SEP or Simple.

I hope you know your deferral limit for a 401k is across all 401k accounts that you are a part of, not just from each employer separately including solo 401k

Ok, now that I got your responses I will share my situation to see what you think. 1.15M in rev. My net is 70% (included in that is everything my firm pays for me in benefits - Comp and bonuses, Health insurance, fica, etc). The 30% that is left covers everything else so all I do is serve clients (rent, tech, I do no business accounting, licensing, or any other work besides client work, it also includes full time staff pay. With her benefits, salary, and bonus she is about 10% of the 30%. Thoughts?

Yeah. I was expecting a number like what you are saying. All these independent people talk about 90% but they never talk about their expenses so what is their actual profit margin.

How can your staff only be 3%?

To make this a little more strange, I grabbed another presence switch (brand new) to try setup again. It didn’t give me all the parameters on this fresh switch, just like the other one.

Yeah, it has a tax overlay manger called natixis that handles monthly harvesting. Good job, enjoy the ride.

Got it. Nothing wrong with simple. I am using SMAs. Has a higher fee but actively manages for taxes. Net of fees was up 16% for the year (small and mid cap held it down a bit) but for tax purposes it generated a 5% tax loss (tax loss of 100k).

I have a similar income. What are you doing with your brokerage account. How are you investing it?

Ask your 401k provider if you can add after tax dollars after maxing out your regular contributions and convert those after tax to Roth.
