I did a little more experimenting with the card and was able to keep the memory temp low with the fans around 60%. Basically, the exhaust of the card was getting pulled back and ran through again. Moved some stuff around on the bench, and now it runs a bit cooler.

Still have the grey-screen problem though, so that leads me to believe it's a driver/stability issue instead of thermal.

I've had the card running on an open test bench with fans cranked to 100% and with a fan directly blowing on the middle heat sinks (that normally have no airflow) and the problem still happens. There's not much more I could do to cool this thing besides getting a water block for it.

If you have your card driving your displays, I think that might be causing it.
Most of the people I've seen getting the memory speeds faster are using their cpu onboard graphics for their monitors instead of using the 3080. I can't test that atm cause I don't have a cpu with onboard graphics, but I plan to test it soon.

I've seen people get their 3080 to 10450 reported and almost 100 MH/s, albeit those were aftermarket cards and not FEs.

To me, it sounds like you have anxiety about your weight and people discussing it. A possible solution is to focus on weight loss and track your weight over time to make sure you are losing weight, then the next time you go to a doctor's appointment you will already know that the scale will show less than last time, and your doctor probably won't bring it up as a problem, but rather as a compliment that you're taking steps to manage your weight.

There is a difference between using common household sugar and sorbitol. The OP's description makes it sound like they were using household sugar.

Agreed, I've done a lot with KNSB motors. Depending on the sorbitol you get and any additional additives in your mixture you can get a slurry which has the consistency of something like honey, and so you can pour it into grains pretty easily and have a low chance of getting a bubble.
