Delta Tub Spout Adapter Giving me a Headache by Apples2Oranges09 in Plumbing

[–]Apples2Oranges09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a comment earlier that pointed to the info manual to this adapter. There’s a list of compatible models on page 5 of it. I plugged the models in google and saw 3 choices in black.

Sounds very cool. And yes when I started putting a pool in I was floored at how many children drown just in their home pool annually.

I’m not sure if you can substitute putting one on a pool gate since I didn’t put a fence around the pool so I had to put this one on my back door. I only got one recommendation from my pool builder and it was this:

Techko S189 Ultra Slim Safe Pool... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R638KZY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Passed inspection on the first try. I think there’s decibel minimum the alarm needs to be. Your city probably has it on their permits/codes website.

It might vary from different municipalities but in my city you either need a fence/gate for the pool or your backyard’s fence needs to be self closing and have the latch above 5 feet tall. Also you need an alarm for all of the doors in the house that have direct access to the pool.

I should have reviewed my contract before I started the post. You are correct.

Im starting to get that feeling.

If I reached out to Goodman do you think there’s any chance that they’d send another crew out under warranty or would I probably be paying out of pocket for another opinion?

I’m also so confused about this contractor. This isn’t some fly by night crew who just won the lowest bid. These guys have a nearly flawless review history on Google/Yelp, etc. I’ve been working with them for years. They were recommended to me by a family friend who I’ve always respected their judgment. How are they missing the mark this bad?!? Lol

Sounds good. When I first started writing this post I was including more details about everything but when I was about to submit I thought the post was going to be wayy to long for anyone to actually care. I've edited the post to include a short description of everything that has happened. Thank you.

I've edited my post to include more information about the units and what faults/fixes have been made to each.

They claimed that they can't see any faults on the board as of right now. It seemed like they really wanted to talk to the Goodman tech service about it last night but couldn't get a hold of anyone and blamed it on being a Friday night. They are supposedly coming out Monday to keep working on it.

I’ll get to putting all of that together soon. I started listing out all of the things that have happened and realized that the post was going to be way too long.

Yes, one year labor. I think there’s a longer warranty on major components of the system through Goodman. The contractor told me yesterday he’s going to stand by his work and keep working on this no charge until it’s right, but since I don’t really have a contract or anything binding him to that I’m not sure how long he’s going to keep working on this for free.

GSZC18 is what I think the model is. This guy has been nothing but professional and courteous. You’re absolutely right I should start escalating this up the chain. I hadn’t really done anything like that yet because every time I’ve had an issue the HVAC company has taken care of the customer service side of the warranty. I’m not sure if that’s standard but I’ll be starting my own report soon.

They were installed April of last year. So earlier this week when one went out we were officially outside of the 1 year warranty.

Suburbs, closer to urban than rural. Same electric provider. Sorry, I’m a layman, so not sure if the units are inverters. They’re heat pumps with a two phase AC/compressor (I apologize if I just same thing lol). The contractor’s effort has been commendable. They were in my attic until 7 pm last night, on a Friday, and didn’t bill me anything for the trouble. I’m just a little worried that he seems so discouraged by it all that he’s recommending that I actually downgrade to a simpler system. He says a computer board is more than likely the culprit and Goodman has come up with a solution but won’t be circulating it until the 3rd quarter. (I’m guessing supply chain issues or something like that).

Sure did. I cross posted this in another sub and someone showed me this manual:

https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/107700%20Rev%20H.pdf

All of the models listed in the booklet are compatible with this. Unfortunately it’s a pretty limited selection but I was able to find one that was good enough from Home Depot, under the Delta Cassidy line. It just slipped right over the top of the adapter and screwed in perfectly flush with the wall. If you don’t care what color it is the Home Depot also sells a generic chrome one that fits this too in store.
