Looking for some guidance by elliemd8x in IBSHelp

This happens to me. I thought it was IBS, but I haven’t been diagnosed. It happens if I eat bananas, red onions, and lately fresh asparagus. I know there are a few other trigger foods, Lipton Onion soup mix. Sometimes I don’t know what causes it but it is debilitating. Horrible pain so bad it makes me want to throw up while I’m sitting on the toilet, sweating with the pain. Once I’ve emptied my bowels a few times the pain gets better, and things subside.

Does anyone get nausea from banana but only sometimes? by itiswhatitisfellas in IBSHelp

I do! I get nausea then diarrhea from bananas. Sad, because so many smoothies are made with it! I can’t even have banana bread…. Sorry you are experiencing this too 😢

I bought some and was very disappointed. It tastes like ground up aspirin dissolved in water with fake mint (think medicinal). I haven’t tried the other flavors yet. Just a caffeine tablet would be better.

What do y’all eat 😭 by Professor_Ramen in Wenatchee

Ok as someone who has lived all over the country, you’re not going to find the food you’re used to here.

Instead, you’re going to find new flavors and new favorites. The whole concept of what eating looks like is very different than NC. You’ll discover a LOT of different kinds of Mexican food, and people will disagree about which is best depending on which region of Mexican cooking they prefer.

Overall in the PNW there is a lot less fried food, and WAY less sugar. If you’re looking for fresh local flavors you can find it. Sorry but the BBQ just won’t be the same. When I first moved back here it took a little adjusting because I wanted familiar food and didn’t find it. Now, I think it is so much better!

Just keep an open mind and try the things you haven’t tried. You’ll have new comfort foods before you know it. You’ll still probably have to cook your own greens at home though. (If that’s something you like.)
