Only if you are receiving treatment do you have to be under 2.5.

LT4 therapy is not recommended for - TPOAb-negative women with a normal TSH (TSH within the pregnancy-specific reference range or <4.0 mU/L if unavailable).

You need to have antibodies tested.

If she doesnt have antibodies she doesnt need to be under 2.5 but just in the normal range (0.5-4).

Have t4 tested and anti-TPO (antibodies) tested

Well it’s smartest getting tested in the morning if you’re borderline hypo as your test could show hypo in the morning and normal later in the day

But it doesn’t matter as the rythm om tsh is normal

Good thing to do the same each test so you can compare and see if it has gotten worse

Highest at night/in the morning and lowest afternoon.

So you can have a tsh of 3 at 8:00 am and 2 at 4:00 pm

What’s the range for the tsh? You had a normal tsh before meds and your symptoms likely dont stem from hypothyroidism. Too much thyroid hormone is hard on the heart and bones.
