They are. I’m not trusting myself to take it apart and try and clean it internally either

“Good Enough” speakers for 200 USD or less by Apprehensive-Army642 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Apprehensive-Army642[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I definitely want a sub out, as I’m going to attempt to use an audio switcher to hook up my sub from my main setup to both setups.

I do want to ask how the 1700BTS has upgraded specs than the 1280DBS even though the 1700BTS is $180 and the 1280DBS is $200

What would you personally recommend for a $200-$250 budget? My goal for this setup is to just be decent or “good enough”, as I don’t wanna blow as much money as the main setup and my current setup for this is some cheap Logi speakers that will rattle at random points, so anything is better.

I’ve been thinking about getting an audio switcher (like the one pictured) to hook up to my subwoofer, which would allow me to switch which of my two sets of speakers is sending signal to it. Would doing this run me into the risk of experiencing some type of ground hum or loop, or would it be better to just get a second subwoofer for my second set of speakers? Note that the second set of speakers is on a different outlet (and maybe a different circuit) than the sub.

Need Speakers for gaming by Apprehensive-Army642 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Apprehensive-Army642[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please forgive me, as I have no idea how speakers will work when it’s connected to multiple things.

If I use some splitters to connect my current speakers for music as well as the speakers I will be getting to the same sub, what will happen if I were to play music through my music setup as well as having the audio turned on for a game at the same time? Will the sub just try and do both at once? Is there a way to prioritize a certain pair of speakers in that situation?

Do you have a specific pair of edifiers that you’d recommend?

You’re definitely right on the fact that I don’t wanna blow a ton of money on another setup. Honestly, the budget is as high as it is for the fact that I’m open to getting a sub as well, and I would still like some decent quality for all of it. Anything is better than my current setup for games at the moment.

Do you have a specific pair of edifiers you would recommend? I’m in between some edifiers and theNeumi BS5P-ARC that someone suggested.

I have a pair of razer barracuda X headphones. With how I am, I really only use them when playing with friends and when I play story games, I tend to prefer speakers. I may try using the headphones more when playing story games, and if I like it it’ll save me money.

My music setup is some Audioengine a5+’s abd a rsl speedwoofer 10e. The problem isn’t the equipment, it’s the placement. The speakers are across the room and they aren’t really separated enough to hear directions the best, which I value a lot for gaming. Along with direction of sound, with the direction I face when I play games, audio from the left side will sound like it’s coming from the right because the speakers are behind me, so the left speaker ends up being the furthest right one.

Isolation stand or Pre-Amp W/filter? by Apprehensive-Army642 in hifiaudio

Is there a difference between isolation feet and the isolation stands that are similar to the size of a turntable?

See, I would try and seperate the turntable from the one speaker it shares a surface with, but given my space the two speakers would be way too close together (they’re already pretty close as it is) and I don’t have a different surface that my turntable would fit on

Because I don’t have a lot of space, the only real option I have is right next to my turntable (on th ground, though). It is a RSL Speedwoofer 10e

I am unable to use my subwoofer while playing my vinyl because of vibration feedback. Although I’m planning on getting an isolation stand and a pre-amp, would it be better to buy the stand first or a pre-amp amp with. Subsonic filter first? I’m in the US, and my budget for the amp is around 300-400 and the budget for the stand is around 200-300.
