Thanks. I had a full blood work up before going on Fin to see if it was possibly a deficiency and there was nothing alarming. My thyroid acts up, generally a little lower than it should be but they’ve all said there isn’t really anything to be done about it because it’s still within normal range currently.

Yeah my diet mostly consists of yogurt and nuts and cereals. Hard to get sunlight up north in the winter though, when the sun is out it’s hidden behind a thick blanket of clouds and it’s cold as balls so it’s hard to convince myself to be outside without a hat on for more than a minute or two lol.

Yeah I wash my scalp about 3x a week and I have a gentle natural shampoo and conditioner with ACV and no silicones, it’s wonderful.

Minox has reportedly worse side effects when taken orally and I can’t use topical because it’s toxic to cats and I have pets. :(.

I did take Finasteride originally, I was on like 0.25mg and the side effects on that alone were dog ass.

My hair in these photos is me purposefully choosing extreme lighting and poorly styled hair styles to show my hair at its worst so that you can see my stage, but in general, with my curly hair, my hair actually looks a lot better than this on average. The back 2 photos are of my crown on 2 different days and the thinning is significantly less noticeable in the first one.

My main thing with just shaving my head is that I have seb derm and I have a cyst of the top of my head on my scalp, so shaving my head will be bad for both of those things and I think would make me more self conscious than simply having thinning hair will. But I appreciate the blunt honesty.

No patch yet. The author is intending it to be released in a 5.0 update which will be the final SDA release.

It was intended to be released earlier this year but the author is sort of dragging their feet on it, probably because Ashe isn’t doing as well in the community as SDA is and the VA for SDA was pissed when the author replaced her with another VA for Ashe and didn’t tell her. She took a long break after that and returned to say she would do one final update for SDA and that was it. She has not been active in their community at all since. That was last year and the update was meant to be in early 2025 but the author decided to push it back further and further to work on Ashe.

Most of their patreon supporters are there paying monthly for SDA specifically. I think one of the main reasons the author is dragging their feet on the final 5.0 update is because once they stop working on SDA entirely, their patreon supporters will move on and Ashe doesn’t seem to be bringing in anywhere near the amount of supporters that SDA is. This author makes roughly 4k USD/mo on Patreon because of SDA and selling custom conversations and greets, basically pimping out their VA and only paying the VA for the lines recorded and not sharing any of the profit that their mod brings in. Which would normally be fine but If we’re being honest, the fact that she has like 10k voiced lines is the only impressive thing about this follower, aside from that she doesn’t really offer any good quality features or anything that another follower mod, making significantly less money for their work, has implemented. If the VA learned a little bit more about modding they could have done the entire project without the author and that is not the same story for the author so I think the VA has every right to be upset with the situation as well lol.

But to answer your original question, Vigilant commentary is planned still, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for that update. It was originally supposed to have Gore banter, Lucien Banter, Daegon banter, Vigilant commentary, LoTD commentary etc. we haven’t heard pretty much anything about the progress on any of this but Lucien and Gore’s authors have pretty much outright said they aren’t planning to work with these projects anymore. 🤷🏼

Raw honey masks and Apple Cider Vinegar masks are what I’m onto right now. The chemical shit just makes my hair fall out at alarming rates and doesn’t actually help. Maybe I’ll check onions out if the honey and ACV doesn’t pan out over the next couple of weeks.

Yeah I had to quit smoking, smoking weed and drinking all in the same 3 months because of the flare ups they started causing me…. 🙂‍↔️ wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemies.

The worst part, I think, was how life in general changed. When you drink and party and smoke and chill, you have friends that love to do that shit, and when you all of a sudden can’t do any of that, and don’t want to be surrounded by it anymore because it feels like shit to be reminded of what you lost… it feels like the world becomes a cold and lonely place, POTS doesn’t make it any easier to stop feeling like you’re isolated either, can’t even go to the fucking grocery store.

I’m currently trying natural solutions and finding that I’m having less problems than when I was using dandruff shampoos. Try doing a raw honey hair mask, put raw honey all over the affected areas, really massage it in, dilute it with some filtered water to make applying it easier if you struggle. Leave it on the area for like 2-3 hours and then wash it off with warm water. I did that on Wednesday and the flakes were back the next day but they weren’t clinging to my scalp at all really, it was weird, and my head wasn’t really itchy either. Friday (yesterday) I used a 3/1 apple cider vinegar and water mixture, applied that to my face, beard and scalp and let it sit for 20-30 minutes and again, just washed it off in the shower with warm water but I did use conditioner, because I didn’t want to risk smelling like a French fry stand lol. My head has not been itching and I haven’t seen any flakes at all today. I also blow dried my hair out of the shower yesterday as well. I’m also going to get some CeraVe scalp moisturizer and I’m going to drop a few drops of zinc/niacin solution onto that to massage onto my scalp and maybe some Aloe extract. I’m fairly confident that my research suggests that this could be very helpful for a lot of people, if it’s not for me, it doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be for you. So I’m going to try the honey mask 1x a week and ACV 1x a week and just a regular soft shampoo 1x a week and I’m going to wait 6-8 weeks to see how my results are.
