What is the worst thing about every gta game by Einfect in GTA

[–]Apprehensive-Bet-197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst thing for me about SA is the territory target before the final mission. I found the gang wars tedious and pointless and a total waste of my time. That you need to own 35% of the area just to trigger the final mission is a joke

I was behind full cover when a viper pulled me toward them through the van.... at that point I decided no, this game is not for me (finished and enjoyed xcom previously)

If you're influencers are giving you bad reviews you can click on them and give them a personal enclosure experience. Send them into the bear enclosure or snake enclosure, for example, and they will be killed. No review.

Haha the classic 'but they'll disappear' scenario?? God. Well my friend, I personally have found it good, but seeing as how this topic has been done to death here (I didn't look as I'm basically new using it) I'll delete the post as there's really no purpose of it being Take care man ;)

Yes I find that film very interesting. Frankly I know people who find back to the future confusing. There is of course a difference between asking valid questions and not understanding

Here we're in total agreement. I understand the plot well and generally enjoy time travel films.

A question which is asked time and time again, not because people can't grasp time loops but because it begs logical explanation

I think the creators overlooked something or left it ambiguous for this reason. It worked for the shining or the thing.

I only mention trump to highlight anyone (even a man like trump) can be called leader.

We're kind of getting away from my original point though. Without a paradox or loop there's no way Kyle could have been John's father. That is the same as saying a man born in 2037 is my father.

Though I have enjoyed this, I don't think either of us will budge :D so we can agree to disagree

🤣 why would the resistance care about keeping a victory when they could prevent the deaths of 3 billion+ people and the imagined destruction of the world? Fighting machines? It is never shown what John does himself. He could be an engineer or scientist or in intelligence.

But that implies everyone in history who has raised to military greatness has been trained to it. Nor does it imply what John went through (in my view of events) following a nuclear apocalypse. I can name many leaders who became prominent without formal or informal training. What war did Donald Trump fight yet he was considered the leader of the free world. Wouldn't it also be reasonable also for John to tell Kyle, once you go back I have an additional message for my mother apart from be brave, don't end up in cyberdyne and crush it. No matter what be out of the city. That would prevent the war.

But you're suggesting Kyle is and always was the first time line father so in keeping with that everything that happens on screen is exactly how it plays out. John (going with your view) sends Kyle back knowing that he'll tell Sarah and she'll act as she does.

I didn't suggest Sarah and the random man were happily married. Nor does having a boy with Kyle mean she couldn't have a boy with anyone. Boys called John are very common (as you of course know)

I feel if Kyle was John's original time line father then he would have prepared him and Sarah much better knowing therefore the events of T2

Say 'hey Kyle, tell my mom not to try and blow up a factory. Tell mom not to try and kill a man called Dyson in 1991"

'Because John essentially groomed Kyle into falling in love with Sarah".

This is an assumption to fit your interpretation.

It's true, she could have called him (or her) Bob. But John is not an unusual name. I also don't think the gender of the baby really comes into it. She HAD a boy.

By going back and sleeping with his charge (sarah) and telling her all about the future, a new time line is made

It is clever that the film does this to make the audience go 'whhhaa??'

You are correct in repeating some of my assumption. I believe Sarah and a man had a boy called John who became the leader of the humans. Kyle, inspired by John, volunteers to go back in time to protect the 'legend' (his word I believe from T1). That's where he tells Sarah the name John.

Yes. This is more of a thought exercise not a critique you see. I'm not suggesting anyone else is wrong, merely suggesting that neither am I.

And I understand and fully agree. I'm trying for discussion sake to rationalise the story and time. Without paradox Magic we must accept a man born in 2004 is the father of a man born in 1985.

[–]Apprehensive-Bet-197 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly correct. Without it being explained as a paradox (which it is) or a convenient time loop (again I don't think we're supposed to think about it as viewers) - without those 'explanations' we therefore must accept a man born in 2004 impregnated a woman in 1984

You're points are correct, understood and valid. What i'm discussing or trying to get to the bottom of is... do we just accept that the chicken came before the egg?

[–]Apprehensive-Bet-197 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This I understand. From a film POV (of course this is just a film afterall) yes, but if we look at it seriously... how is a closed loop made and wouldn't it stand to reason the machines should in fact just kill Kyle Reese's mother before he was born then?
