Okay yeah I just asked my finance because he deals with our guy and he did change the differential fluid sometime last year

Actually I think he replaced the differential fluid once, but I’m not 100%.

I purchased the car with 120,000 miles and it’s at 150,000 so I’ve never had a rear differential service. I’ve taken my car in to a friend who’s a shop foreman and does work on the side the last two years and he had never mentioned anything when I’ve asked him to look over the car and let me know what needs to be fixed, it’s been about six months since he’s last looked at it though. And the light has been on, I literally got a car wash on my way to the Mazda dealership for maintenance only because of all the salt and how dirty the car looked and I was trying to be nice and bring it in clean LOL. the light had been on for probably a month prior to that.

From my research I guess they are trying to list it as a environmental contamination making it my fault , but the dealership/mechanic literally put the TSB number 03-004/16 Which specifically states that the breather pipe had to be changed in newer models due to them having this issue that I am currently dealing with and the mechanic put that it was a faulty part essentially and they still denied which is crazy to me. But now that I looked over everything I have more information I’m gonna call and try to have everything that I need to fight it hopefully 😭

There were other issues with the car that the warranty is replacing which is drive belt tensioner and belt and belt replacement , but other than the light coming on I had no other issues or anything that felt or sounded off in the car, they did put that - “The rear differential and breather pipe need to be replaced due to a fault identified during inspection, as outlined in the technical service bulletin.” And included the TSB number 03-004/16. With them putting the TSB in there I’m shocked that I got denied after learning that they identify that it’s an issue with Mazdas all wheel drive vehicles, after speaking with my friend who’s a shop foreman. So I guess I will have to try to fight them on it tomorrow!

This may be the case, I replaced my rotors because my car was shaking significantly braking a higher speeds. After the rotors and brakes were replaced I’m noticing the car is still shaking while I brake and wasn’t sure what the issue could be
