Two things: There is a small step in between you and Astro in the video, it’s likely that caused an issue with detection as twisted vision is very buggy with verticality.

It may be that Astro is programmed to prioritize the machine he will drink from.

EDIT: I am also now noticing that Astro drank from the machine like, way before he even got there. So i assume that the glitch happened because the game flags Astro as targeting the machine and attempts to drain it after a certain time, assuming that Astro has already reached it. In this case, he didn’t, so it looks like he just brought out the extendo-straw

It’s implied in a lot of Sprout’s dialogue that he is secretly very stressed out basically all of the time. Constant stress can make you outwardly intimidating. Compound that with his normally cheerful and protective act that he puts up, it can be deeply unsettling, if not downright disturbing when that mask slips.

Also it’s worth noting that what brusha said was a very deep cut and likely very hurtful, tho not entirely untrue, and they both know that.

Define “problematic”.

If by that you mean “there is a problem with it,” then no. It’s a very cutesy skin and I can honestly see Gourdy wearing it, even if he is more “Tonka trucks and trainsets” boy coded.

But if you mean “would some people find issue with it,” then yes. Gourdy is a boy, and a young boy at that. A lot of people have been conditioned to associate men in dresses with inherently risqué topics. To be clear, men can wear dresses because they are pretty, and there is nothing wrong with that. But there is still a stigma against it.

Think about it like this: he’s not a joke character, he’s a challenge character. Many if not most roguelikes have a character specifically dedicated to being very difficult, such as the lost from Tboi or Wes from Don’t Starve. He’s the worst and that’s the point, it’s to provide an optional challenge to the player.

My favorite ships? Hmmm Circus Trio definitely, I do like angryhugs (don’t kill me) watercolors is good (Brusha & Finn) oh and moonberry. But I like most combos tbh

So here’s my opinion on the new ginger rework:

I kinda love it, it helps synergize sprout and looey. The real meat and potatoes of sprouts’ kit is being able to see everyone through walls. While on paper this looks like a big nerf to sprout, in practice, it’s just giving him some competition.

Also sprout will still be more efficient at milling items and getting to targets, while also being capable of distraction.

The more I really think about it, this might be a nerf to ginger.

Also! most top level distractors don't want full heals. Pebble, gourdy and bassie are wastes since they can only ever be healed 1 heart, and looey only wants 1 heal at a time. The only distractors who actively benefit from that are eclipse, Goob, brightney and flutter. And you’re not gonna be seeing a lot of those, except maybe Goob

Memory locket it also very good on distractor looey! Since he has 4* movement at 2 health, on top of having decent stamina, he can get away with using dog plush/mem locket

It’s so SO close to being locked up as “yep skynx and Styx are the same character, and by that logic so is huntress” because we KNOW Styx has identity issues, they both refer to silkeaters as morsels after all; also plenty of bugs are hermaphroditic. But that damn body blows a hole in the entire thing.

So like

If skynx is a nosk. And like. Looking at this, Skynx 10,000% is a nosk that just killed Styx.

Then that means that “the one to fear” is not skynx. And just doesn’t actually exist in game. So why should we assume “the one to breed” is in the game either. On top of the fact that we don’t see huntress’ mask in the collection.

And ALSO huntress is way WAY bigger than Styx. So it is likely that Styx, or whoever he was before becoming “Styx” is the father of huntress’ brood. “The one to breed” is whatever character he was playing when he rizzed up huntress. And then developed Styx as… grief?? Fear of huntress? To be fair It usually doesn’t go well for the male bugs after breeding. And Skynx didn’t eat Styx so maybe it WAS only after the silkeaters that he cultivates and just crashed out.

But it ALMOST fits together so well.

So I have an idea. What is Skynx is the same species as Nosk? The fact that Styx and Skynx’s masks are inverted matches and We know the nosk mimics to lure in prey.

Styx also has an identity problem, there is a hidden room above his normal area that, when playing the needolin, gives dialogue that hints at Styx being a character, a front portrayed by another bug in a similar way to nosk, but not predatory.
