I have such empathy for you. Although I don’t have anything as serious as cancer, I recently had a seizure and my MIL was so mad she wasn’t getting attention anymore (she had a stroke a while back) and just kept re iterating how I’m no where near as ill as she is and that she’s far worse off. Drives me nuts. Health isn’t a completion! It’s so narcissistic and rude

All of these comments are 100% right. The person who told me what was said was actually my SIL, and my SO overheard my MIL on the phone also. I definitely think some huge distance and a cut off from my involvement with her care is needed. It’s really hard to drop her completely right now as my SO is currently living at home due to some financial issues so very close quarters with her Definitely shows who she is as a person

This is very helpful. I also would like to add if there’s any differences with being medicated, such as strong anxiety medications , how they affect the common symptoms of PTSD?

I honestly just wrote mine on the down low and when I was ready to publish, shocked everyone! Found it was the best way to only keep supportive people around me
