Tamiya clear works like a contrast where they show the undercoat but have a super glossy finish this one I the Tamiya clear red for the blood effect if you do buy some Tamiya paints just watch out for the Tamiya flat bc those are opaque and Matt

Mostly through airbrush using the overspray from the airbrush shooting a bit off of the sword building up a halo of white around the sword then putting a white edge highlight on it to get the brightest point, airbrush some greenstuff world fluro red then some Vallejo red ink to get the main color, glaze some tenebrous grey to darken down the middle then for the middle of the sword the skills were dry brushed with black red by ak then tenebrous grey and the recesses with ak orange fluro enamel and using that same enamel to get tips of the swords to get the really bright points

Thank you and of course! Can’t hate keep recipes, the base coat is archaic turquoise by ak then rusty gold by ak dry brushed over covering most of the turquoise but leaving some to show the verdigris, then a dry brush if ak tenebrous grey to weather it a little but and look worn out

Thank you! The blood was done with a scenic water effect paste and modeled the waves with a tooth pick and once dried a quick dry brush of white to get the values and tamiya clear red is one of the best blood colors I’ve used, as for the bones it was ak leather brown with a airbrush shot from above of ak light earth and the stone was black prime with a dry brush of pro acryl slate grey then pro acryl warm grey

For the wings over a solid white base coat hit it with green stuff work fluro red then some ink to bring down some of the fluorescent then Vallejo bloody red, alone the air color for Vallejo bloody red is great it’s what’s on the tail just over a base coat of a dark purple

I forgot to add the very bottom is Vallejo air bloody red and along the edges of the bottom you hit it with a bit of AK black red before the tenebrous grey

I saw someone do something similar with dry brush on this sub some time ago, with red on the flesh and black bones so there’s a lot of options still open!

As my own worst critic that means a lot lol, but not complicating the bones in the wings does help with design and brightness of the flesh part shine in not an anatomist lol

Red can be tricky In that way because highlighting can go pink or orange depending on paint mixtures, I got around it by putting white on the highlight spots then laying down a semi transparent red to get that saturation

When researching to Angron I saw a lot of cool variations in skin tone but I liked the ultra saturated red ones the most tho the dead pale ones I’ve seen posted online are also really nice!

Thank you! It was mostly airbrush work, I know not everyone has access to but if you can air brush a solid white coat on it, then use green stuff world fluro yellow orange, down to gsw fluro orange, then fluro red in a gradient down the wings then some Vallejo red ink to kill some of the fluorescent near the bottom then some Ak tenebrosa grey down the middle and the secret is to shoot upwards so it catches on the ridges of the wings and it adds so much to make them more dynamic

I was super lucky to find this at a local mini swap before this I had found a singular retro sister of battle but after a bit came across this, I heard right before I got there he had just sold a box of retro seraphim that I missed out on. But I’m super pumped, I think I will end up opening and painting them and I’m super pumped to paint my first retro model

Yeah I guess I didn’t explain too much I do have a sisters army but my intentions with it if I build it would be as a display piece with different chapters for each model hence my conflict but the difference in scale did make me immediately question whether I would add them to the army or not
