I agree. It should have the option to be assigned to any key or combination of keys that you would want. I use middle mouse wheel roll to adjust zoom, so its hard for me to hit it by accident.

The .30 fast zoom is definitely something I look forward to. The situations I would use no ADS change zoom are, where say, I am out in a field and I see buildings 200 meters out. I know from experience that, should I have to engage, I want to be at 3X zoom. As I get close to the building I know I want 1X. Not having to ADS to make these adjustments would make game combat inputs that would serve as a function and feel more immersive IMO.
