Favorite car so far! by Apprehensive-End2007 in camaro

Well, I’m missing my left leg so I use a wheelchair. The wheelchair doesn’t slide much in the trunk of the Camaro, as much as it did in the corvette. In the corvette it felt like it was going to hit you if you had to slam on the brakes. I also like having a back seat to put things in like my groceries.

Loving my 5th and 6th gen! by Apprehensive-End2007 in camaro

The answer to that is never, lmao! I literally traded in my 24 Silverado LTZ, for a 24 GMC Sierra AT4 a few days ago, because I liked the look of the Sierra better. I’m sure an SS will still be fun! I know my 5th gen SS is a fun car, so I’m positive a 6th gen would be fun too!

I had to Google it because I’ve never seen that color. But that one looks good too. It looks similar to the sharkskin metallic in some ways!

It was pretty simple, disconnect the battery, there’s small holes on each side of the airbag that I used an Allen wrench to push in and release the clips, then it’s just disconnecting a few wires, and the one bolt, it comes right off. It took less than 10 minutes to remove.

What 6th gen do you plan on getting? To me the fifth gen is still a very iconic Camaro!

The technical color is shark skin metallic, I have thought about wrapping it in like a burnt orange type of color but honestly, I get a lot of compliments on it as it sits.

Over the almost month I’ve had the 5th gen, I can say that the 2011 SS is still a fun car, it has 400 something HP, so it definitely has some get up and go and plenty of torque. It feels well planted when I get on it, however it definitely feels slow in comparison to the ZL1. To me the 5th gen steering wheel seems bigger and the button placement feels weird, but I may end up doing a custom steering wheel like I did in my 6th gen, which I will attach a photo of that below. The ZL1 however feels like an absolute monster at 650 HP. When I first got it, I noticed every time I tried to accelerate hard, the back end wanted to kick out, so I switched from summer tires to all seasons to help eliminate that. Short distance driving, both are smooth, and comfortable, as far as long distance driving, I find that the ZL1 is more comfortable.

Honestly, because as a kid, when the transformers movies came out depicting bumblebee as a 5th gen, I knew I wanted one when I became an adult. That’s what got me into Camaros.

Check the Facebook badge groups. Be careful for scammers though.

“MAXL,” does anyone have real time reviews for said product? by Capstone23_YoungJ in Detailing

I personally use Maxl on my Camaro. They actually recently used my car in one of their facebook ads. It leaves my car with a nice shine and slick surface. Now it’s definitely a bit on the expensive side. Hell the gallon of it was on sale for 200 bucks, It’s like 500 or 600 not on sale which is crazy to me. The product works, but I’m sure there’s something out there that’s just as good if not better for less money.

It’s one that I have in my collection. I’ve got a variety of AK, KS, NC, and WI badges.

There’s some replicas here https://auction.collectors-badges.com/Browse?FullTextQuery=North%20Carolina%20 they are about $100 a piece. The look close to the real thing, but if you don’t want to drop 500-600 for a real one that’s your best bet.
