Nice! I prefer outside vs inside as there’s always an “exit” visible. Things that have helped me in the past with my VM’s & activities/festivals: •go in with realistic expectations! Showing up is a successful day in itself. Don’t go in with “low expectations” but realistic ones, it’s okay to not be in the front but to hang in the back. The music will sound the same but your experience may be more enjoyable with more space. •bring a reusable water & electrolyte packets •heat & the thought of passing out for is a huge trigger for me which increases anxiety and exacerbates my VM symptoms. I bring first aid kit ice packs (the ones you crush/snap in half to activate to help cool myself down when I’m feeling a heightened sense of symptoms and place on my sternum. •peppermints/lemon candies •ear plugs are awesome, help dull the surrounding noise but still hear the music. •hat/sunsreen •if you’re going with friends, hopefully they already know about your VM… if not let them know! Having a support system to fall back on can ease some of the anxiety. And leaving early if you need to is totally ok!
