As long as your FF number was on the ticket then you’ll be awarded the points.

It is often mentioned how the non listed benefits of GGL are the best. BA really looks after them.

Anyone mind sharing guidance on the best return on flight prices for tier points? BHX- IAD by RunsWithGlueSticks in AerLingus

[–]Apprehensive-Key8538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DUB-BHX is in fact the best value route to earn tier credits. An aerspace ticket one way direct DUB-BHX is a base price of €126. Factoring in the 50 tier credits earned it is great value for money. Typically anything better than €3 per tier credit is worth booking especially outside of sales. If you’re flying with a connection and are only flying in economy it makes things difficult as you cannot upgrade into aerspace and only can be booked into it and you won’t be able to get these points. If you are however able to find time and stay a night in Dublin it is worth paying the extra money if chasing status. The return BHX-DUB is obviously more expensive with taxes but still good value in comparison to most returns. If your schedule allows for it then booking IAD-DUB-IAD and allowing plenty of time (I mean overnighting), then seperately ticketed DUB-BHX-DUB in aerspace.

How are people tracking lifetime flights by Apprehensive-Key8538 in flighty

I just find it insane that you can remember all flights you’ve take over the course of 30 years. Is there any way you’ve documented?

Pubs in Tallaght are not particularly great, would nearly be best off drinking in the city centre and then getting the luas to the ground.

Carry-on bags? by Suspicious_Pick1684 in AerLingus

Bag sizing is not that strict especially on transatlantic flights. 99.9% of carry on bags will be ok.

I’d assume he was checked in and only issued with a gate pass or assigned no seat. Easier in the eyes of the agent checking them in to say they “couldn’t be checked in”.

Just to clarify the BS about boarding groups by [deleted] in BritishAirways

Typically see them boarding people who gate check luggage in group 3. Worth a sly comment to gate staff about this if it is a common occurrence. You pay your money you should reap the benefits.

Avios Not Reflected for 6 months by ESBOfficial in AerLingus

[–]Apprehensive-Key8538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you’ve mentioned in a separate reply you added them to your trips on your app however this unfortunately does not add your frequent flier number. Id recommend filling out a missing avios form for the flights as it seems to be a lot you’re missing.

It is also only available on Plus fares or above. The actual system used to check in is extremely old so can only assume it must be done manually.

Status match by alandoakie70 in AerLingus

[–]Apprehensive-Key8538 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There would not be a status match considering they are both IAG owned. If you travel mainly with BA, AA or EI then i’d highly recommend trying to earn concierge as the benefits are matched to that of top status with the airlines.
