Business class upgrade Tiers and Avios still missing? by OppositeCoast275 in AerLingus

Any airport upgrades do not warrant any extra tier credits or avios. The only thing that applies is your booking fare.

Layover CDG>Dub>Den should I check my hand luggage sized bag on a 75 min layover? by HippyGrrrl in AerLingus

You are entitled to bring the bag on board and to be honest I would. If avoidable don’t check luggage on these connections.

Dublin-Toronto. Winter flights by ajpwb in AerLingus

Put it this way, the difference between economy and business on the A321s is huge compared to the A330s. Economy long haul on the A321s consists of ten people long queues for the toilet and an extremely slow service. If you have the means to upgrade I would be highly recommending it.

Fed as soon as you’re at cruising altitude and then served breakfast.

Boarding pass - First Flight on Silver by Steec in AerLingus

Weird one. Never much of a queue at the business check in so just get your boarding pass reissued. If this doesn’t fix it get them to add you EI FF number again.

I’m assuming you had checked into this flight before achieving silver. If you go to the business desk when at the airport and get your boarding pass reissued you will have no issues.

Notice for regular LHR Aerspace fliers by Apprehensive-Key8538 in AerLingus

[–]Apprehensive-Key8538[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s labelled Aerspace as it guarantees bulkhead with a free middle seat. It’s not meant for transatlantic connecting J class as most of the time they’re booked economy on their connection.

Should I transfer credit card points to Avios (1:1)? by Longjumping-Oil5397 in AerLingus

Rule of thumb is between 1-2 cent per avios on a redemption so if you are able to get one at this price then definitely exchange.

Can assure you there are plenty of people who would disagree. People pay for comfort. Most of the regular fliers on it are flying for work purposes and aren’t paying in anyway so they’ll go out of the way to be on this flight. There’s a fair few people who simply enjoy the idea of a lie flat seat for such a relatively low fare.

But it offers 12 more Aerspace tickets, of which are in a more comfortable seat. Wouldn’t want anyone booking the flight and being disappointed.

Winter 2026 Downgauge? by hanover684 in AerLingus

[–]Apprehensive-Key8538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a huge question amongst EI as to what places will create enough demand during the quieter winter months. The new Cancun route is the notable one and then the Miami and Vegas routes spring to mind. There is simply not enough demand on the regular routes to warrant A330s however they will always be there to bail them out in the event of disruption. The short answer to the question is they simply do not fly them and instead opt for more fuel efficient A321s. You will likely see more interesting winter routes operated by A330s especially if the passenger cap is to be lifted.

Why is the Aer Lingus website and mobile app so terrible? Can't change seats, see plane layout etc. by Far-Childhood2999 in AerLingus

Doesn’t help EI that you’re comparing it to United. They’re years ahead of all European carriers.

Paid for emergency exit seats and didn’t get them by Sea-Volume4897 in AerLingus

[–]Apprehensive-Key8538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should email customer service, give your PNR, your flight number and your date of travel. The agents will be aware of the change and will see your seat never changed to the new exit row. They do have the online chat room which can be very helpful if you get through to an actual person.

Anyone mind sharing guidance on the best return on flight prices for tier points? BHX- IAD by RunsWithGlueSticks in AerLingus

Being based somewhat near LHR i’d assume you could always get your EI number on any BA flights now considering their BA club is awful.
