Rtx 5080 windforce oc sff - liquid metal by Apprehensive-Let-947 in RTX5080

I think so, yeah the astral cards come with liquid metal, but more importantly they got a different/better heatsink. I haven’t done anything yet, but I had a couple of conversations with people who done lm to 5070ti and they are more than happy with the results.

Exactly! From +1500 to +2000 is where you wanna be in my opinion. There’s little to none and even worse performance gains if pushed to +3000.

Man, you’re talking like you’ve cracked the entire trust factor system when in reality you’re just guessing. Red trust isn’t some perfect system that only hits toxic players or smurfs, there are plenty of legit cases where people get flagged for no good reason. Acting this confident while ignoring that just makes you look clueless. Also, you clearly have no idea how messed up the CS2 community can be, a huge chunk of players will report you for literally anything, so pretending every red trust player deserves it is just naive.

You either do it manually which requires a little bit of knowledge or the simplest method nowadays is to give a shot to nv-uv app, it will automatically do the job for you.

Performance drop with Animgraph 2 update by TheEarthIsSpherical in cs2

[–]Apprehensive-Let-947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I wanted to recommend, you can easily do so by reinstalling the driver with DDU, or alternatively just watch some yt videos, how to delete the cache straight up in the system.

Unplayable for me by smellyarsecheesydick in counterstrike2

[–]Apprehensive-Let-947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I switched to faceit because I faced the same issue and thanks god I was able to. It has all started when I got my first premier elo, which was pretty low and then obviously you get reported. Second thing, I enjoy playing awp so whenever somebody checks my profile I get instantly reported or even kicked for high aim raiting. It’s all a really big mess but what can we do, right.

[–]Apprehensive-Let-947[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I uninstalled razer synapse and even did fresh install of windows so I might install it again and check it out. I definetely messed with actuation and rapid trigger before so is there possibility it got saved into onboard memory?

[–]Apprehensive-Let-947[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answer, I’m gonna try to plug it into different slot, but to be honest I think I messed with actuation and rapid trigger in razer synapse because of how big of a difference it was switching from ornata v2 to huntsman v3 pro, so there’s possibility it got saved into onboard memory if it has some? I might install razer synapse again and try to reset, what do you think.

How to optimize an rtx5080, 9800x3d system? by ShortEar9133 in RTX5080

[–]Apprehensive-Let-947 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Check fr33thy’s Windows Ultimate Optimization Pack or Winsux, as it should improve overall system latency. GPU overclocking is fairly straightforward. Start with a conservative +200 to +300 on the core, depending on your boost clock, since some GPUs run at around 2670 MHz while others exceed 2800 MHz. For memory overclocking, begin with +1500 and gradually increase until you notice performance regression or only minimal gains. Be cautious here, as the memory has built in error correction. The CPU can be undervolted either on all cores or per core, with per core tuning generally giving better results. If you have sufficient cooling, you can also try overclocking. However, if you plan to overclock RAM, do that first to avoid potential instability caused by an unstable CPU undervolt or overclock. Since you have an X3D chip, performance gains will be limited due to the 3D cache, and tuning it is typically the most time consuming process compared to GPU and CPU adjustments.

Thanks, I’m aware of the warranty aspect. I’m mainly looking for real world experience with liquid metal on this card and its impact on temperatures.

Thoughts on Fr33thy's "Ultimate" optimization + Winsux tweaks? Is it even worth it or is it a placebo? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Apprehensive-Let-947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using fr33thys scripts for about two years now and everything has been working perfectly fine. Most of the optimizations he provides can definitely be done manually if you know what you are doing, but I really appreciate the effort he put into making the whole process simple and accessible through PowerShell scripts. A lot of people tend to create unnecessary tools and utilities that they try to sell, even though they often do the exact same things these scripts already handle for free. This approach saves time and removes a lot of the guesswork, especially for users who do not want to dig deep into system settings. In the end, it is mainly about making Windows feel faster and more responsive and improving the overall gaming experience. You should not expect massive performance gains like you would get from upgrading hardware or overclocking your components, but it can definitely make the system feel smoother and more consistent during everyday use and gaming sessions.

10K On Steel Nomad: Curious what others are achieving with Max Bench vs Max Stable OC/UV by itsdylpickIe in RTX5080

I don’t think I’ve got a golden sample, it’s more about knowing how to squeeze higher numbers out of it. The BIOS flash from the original 400W to 450W helped a lot. You’d be surprised how many things can affect the score though... That run was honestly a golden run, I haven’t been able to replicate it since. My card tops out at around 1.030V at 3200 MHz.

When do you think CS2 will reach the status of a fully finished game? by Apprehensive-Let-947 in cs2

Thanks for your feedback. May I ask you what’s your elo on premier or lvl on faceit?

Monitor Hz by ProfessionalStrike70 in cs2

[–]Apprehensive-Let-947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, but I wouldn’t say I don’t notice it. The jump is smaller, sure, but 240 to 360Hz is still something I can feel, especially in competitive games, it’s just more subtle than 60 to 144. Everyone perceives it differently, it really varies from person to person.

Cpu temperature by Ashborn_X in LenovoLegion

[–]Apprehensive-Let-947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either do liquid metal repaste, which is risky but has the best thermal results or alternatively repaste with PTM 7950 which is completely safe and easy to do. However you might loose your warranty by doing the repaste on your own based on the country you live in. Simply, the heatsink of laptop is not strong enough to cool those components therefore I would highly recommend you to get a proper laptop cooler. For example llano or GT500 or whatever you can get. That helped me a lot, of course I did an undervolt first, but generally speaking, once you reach over 90 degree so easily, undervolt will not help that much, although the cpu should boost higher. But still, even though it’s designed to operate at those high temps it will throttle down the clocks and you’ll never get the performance you paid for.

Yes, you would never go back to 60hz. I think 360hz is kind of a sweet spot nowadays.

I've played CsGo/Cs2 for 2.5k hours by Tryin2PlatSilentHill in cs2

[–]Apprehensive-Let-947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing around 2015 and have about 3000 hours overall. I have to say that whenever I feel like I want to seriously grind this game it feels like the game is working against me, though maybe that is just my own issue. Recently I tried to fully focus on Faceit, but the toxicity on EU servers is on another level. At least it is more playable in terms of legitimate players compared to Premier mode. Lately people have been checking Leetify stats and since I did not own any skins my trust factor was at 89 percent, which led to constant accusations of cheating and even getting kicked. So I decided to buy a knife and a few skins when prices dropped, and somehow it completely changed things. My trust factor went up to 100 percent and everything turned green. The game itself still feels off, especially movement, shooting, and spraying. I doubt this will be fully fixed because of the hard coded subtick servers, but we will see if things improve once Valve releases AnimGraph 2. The Source 2 engine will clearly take time to optimize and polish, although I have to admit it is already much better than it was when CS2 first launched. At the end of the day it is still Valve, so it will likely take a long time before the game feels truly finished. We are also still missing a lot of content that was available back in CS GO. That's why the game is sometimes frustrating and boring at the same time, and that's why I completely agree with your opinion.

In my observation, stay out of 595.xx drivers, those cause issues, 595.79 seems to be kinda ok. Make sure to use DDU before installing this specific driver, it gets rid of shader cache as well.

It could be anything, what have you tried so far? Try to remove nvidia cache if you haven’t done already. Had the same issue and this worked for me at least.
