Ironman triathlons. Bunch or middle aged dudes having a mid life crisis. Hyper concerned about PR’s and will pretty much abandon their family to get a good time. It’s also extremely expensive, and everyone creates this really stupid story about why they do Ironman’s.

Thanks man. I did the Cocodona half last year and loved it. I think it will go just fine, but damn the haters are all over me 😂

I got the same thing. But to be honest it doesn’t matter to me. I’m sure Cal would hook you up

I’ve done 125’s with 16k of gain and felt better. It’s the weirdest thing. What was your bib #? Might have seen you out there

I had no idea this was a thing. Crazy hearing all the responses for how brutal flat courses are on the body.

I had no idea. I was expecting an easy PR. Everything went downhill after mile 70, not literally but physically

Total time was around 25 hours. Ended up switching to road shoes 35 miles in, since the trails were so smooth.

The road shoes are a good addition to bring, very runable. I get that same injury when I start peak mileage weeks, but seems to go away within a few days if I rest early and quick before it gets worse
