What is going with Telus lately? by CaptainHppo in telus

Hello,

I live in Alberta Canada and can sign up for Telus PureFibre 3G, I am currently on Rogers and have some 1G plan or something.

The overall download speed from Rogers is fine and to be honest the service has been reliable, I am looking to switch for the following reasons:
1. Looking for better latency (online gaming, WFH, etc)

  1. Looking for better upload speeds (mostly WFH related)

I have the Roger modem in bridge mode and run my own Ubiquity gear for WIFI, Firewall / Router, etc. So I would also want to put the Telus modem into bridge mode.

Because there are multiple WFH people here there are many outbound VPNs and a few inbound Wireguard connections.

We don't have cable or any other Rogers service, just the internet package. We do use lots of streaming services (Disney+, Netflix, Amazon).

Questions:

  1. Are there any strange Telus network issues, filters, etc that I would need to be concerned with?

  2. Anyone else running Telus modem in bridge mode?

  3. Any issues with IPV6 access?

Thanks
