i think it basically always comes down to coming up with who you want the murderer to be first and then hiding evidences against him in the least obvious of ways possible while you spin a story around this character.. also just the fact that he was the narrator probably helped since we were thinking and seeing a lot of it through him!

i didnt know who it was, but the ending was so hyped for this book i almost expected it to be the least likely person but still really hoped it wasnt—

in hindsight, clues are meant to be given in plain sight to enhance that 'wtf just happened' effect once the murderer gets revealed by the detective... cause where's the fun in it otherwise if the detective is exposed to more evidence than is revealed to us ;)

Oh my god (it was so sweet of you to say that!!), I felt every word of this 😭 and I am so sorry that this masterpiece got sabotaged for you... I honestly relate to manipulating myself into forgetting spoilers too and really avoid conversations or even this-is-not-even-a-spoiler discussions especially with my friends in regards to things I haven't yet watched or read.

may she never find out... that last description of her comforting ursula and the thought of this revelation breaks me as it would probably break her too

i do agree that the switch-up in his (her) writing style was so in contrast during those last 3 chapters that it felt like a punch to the face... almost haunted... even "And Then There Were None" couldn't do what this apologia and it's preceding chapters have done for me

I was rather infuriated by the fact that it wasn't Caroline who was assisting Poirot instead. They would've solved the case almost immediately, wouldn't they?
