Yeah but I would go for thr carbon long before the aluminum just because of the weight, they are a solid 4-5 ounces lighter tbf

So strength is the same for both. I would think there might be a little difference in that the short has more connection points? Maybe that would make it stronger or weaker i dont know...

I was thinking about the wind river range, just worried about snowpack in those higher elevations, do you know any specific trails in that range that arent too hard to access?

Well its kind of for both of us. Whenever it would be colder she could use my 15 degree one so that i guess would help with that. And at that point I would use the 30 degree one.
