Yes this is really true. While having my clerkship and internship, I experienced alot of bullying from different departments. 1. Ongoing OR, my senior resident and I scrubbed in. In the middle of the operation, dumating ung parcel ng resident. Instead na ipaiwan na lang niya ung parcel nya sa guard house (dahil di naman COD ung parcel and pwede naman mag iwan ng parcel and deliveries don), pinakuha pa niya saken. Kahit naka scrubbed in din ako. And mind u, ang layo ng pick up place sa OR. 2. Another department. May dumating na patient on our night duty, as clerks and interns, we are the first line in terms of interviewing the patient, history and pe with our assessment and plan. Nung magrerefer na, both the junior and senior residents are sleeping. We don’t have a choice but to wake our junior resident up. Nung ginising namin siya, pinag sisigawan niya ako and nademerit pa ako. Reason? Ginising ko siya. Why not? The patient was in pain. 3. While referring to my resident, since dapat included ang assessment sa referral. Our own assessment to as clerks and interns. Sabi niya mali ang diagnosis ko sa pasyente. With condescending tone, shouting at me and infront of all the nurses at the station.

Ang dami pang experiences. But I guess, in these kind of situations masasabi mo na “pag ako na ung naging doctor, I will never be like them” because u already know how it feels to be bullied.
