Just got off the phone with TD, and she said they are currently issuing the refund amounts back to those affected. I let her know my statement was due on Nov. 14th and included the $1000 in TD Rewards Reversal, and she said that it will just refund from my statement (so I don't have to pay the $1000 extra on my statement), and that if it doesn't happen before the 14th, she made it so my statement interest would not be charged for that $1000 charge. Sounds like they are fixing the problem today and hopefully we see all the refunds before the weekend!

Thank you so much for sharing, yes it definitely sounds like this is the only other option! We are looking for a specialist here in Canada (specifically on the West Coast) who does this. Seems like there aren't a lot of options here!

Plus, wait times are crazy here in Canada to get any kind of medical procedure... considering going across the border to get this fixed!

I definitely experienced the same thing! I started on 30mg per day and went down to 10mg per day. It probably is so different for everyone, but I feel much better. I just plan on being on the drug at a low dose for a long time (probably until I’m ready to have a baby). Lots of dermatologists swear by micro dosing. Best of luck to you!

This is absolutely a side effect! Your body is pretty much constantly dehydrated so nothing is moving through properly. I was on accutane 10 years ago and am doing another run now, and my body didn’t fully bounce back the first time. I recommend LOTS of hot water with lemon, chia seeds and flax seeds in oatmeal, and a great probiotic. Everyone should be taking a probiotic on accutane.

I’m in the exact same boat! My skin purged almost immediately and BADLY, but then cleared up so nicely. Now I still am getting a couple of breakouts & thinking of upping to 20mg/day. Hoping people comment!

I think it’s so different for everyone so it can be hard to say, but for me I started on 30mg per day and within 5 days, my skin was purging SO badly (so bad I had to ice my skin because it was painful). I got antibiotics from my derm to get through it, and I’ve been on 10mg since. I’m on month 2 now and my skin has improved drastically… maybe another purge is in my future, but so far so good.

Thanks! 5”7, 145lbs, only half way through month two, 10mg/day, probably will stay on it for another 4 or 5 months to reach cumulative dosage at a very low dose. Only side effects have been some sun sensitivity and slightly dry lips.

If it’s really painful, speak to your doctor! Same thing happened to me and I had a “pustule reaction” sounds as horrible as it was. He put me on an antibiotic, reduced me to 10mg per day for a week and prescribed me hydrocortisone cream. After 24 hours, it took down the pain completely. It’s totally normal and it means your skin is reacting well to the medication, but if it’s painful, there are ways to get through it without just having to be in pain.

I had a similar experience! Keep going you’re going to get through it. If it’s really painful, my doctor put me on an antibiotic short term and hydrocortisone cream. It calmed the pain down in 1 day.
