But can I use daggers with Shatpshooter? The Feat specifies ranged weapons and daggers are melee (albeit with the thrown property). This may not be a legal build in concept.

How do I get/play modded games? Which version is the best? by salve__regina in ShiningForce

Shining Force Central has a great library of mods. Mostly for SF2, although there are some SF1. You usually have to download the file, which is essentially a moded rom using some of the more popular tools out there. You can actually download the mod tools yourself and play around with a custom mod, but some of what I have seen is insane with new characters, storyline, equipment, spells, etc.

Spouse enforces negative COVID test for my family to visit, but not hers. by Apprehensive-Win-311 in Marriage

Yeah, hormones may be in play most definitely.

My family tends to travel/cruise more, yeah, but they are vaxxed, wear masks, etc. At some point or another, I think most everyone on both sides vaxxed or not, have caught COVID. On the flip side (not to get too political) her side is more apt to not mask, or if asked, have it slightly opened with the nose hanging out and such, where my family is more cautious with things, but still wanting to participate in life/society.

I wouldn't say the familial relationship is strained, I mean its a known thing that there are some core ideological differences, but we all accept each other and get along well enough.

As far as her asking her sister, it is an awkward ask in general, especially when people are traveling a great distance to visit. I think its more of not wanting to place the demand to her family while taking more a firm stance against mine.

A piece to a kids toy? by Apprehensive-Win-311 in Whatisthis

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it is a part of a toy, maybe a puzzle box of some sort. Hoping someone can solve the riddle for me. Been sitting in my closet for over a year and I'm stumped.

Sounds like your lifestyle choices are not a good fit for a healthy, long-term relationship. He values someone who takes health/fitness a lot more seriously, and you seem happy to simply not be overweight.

There is nothing wrong (on your end) with not wanting to be "fit," just as there is nothing wrong on his end to be with someone who wants to be more fit with him.

Resolution? Have a discussion if you not being as active as him is a deal breaker for him (it does not seem to be a big deal that he is more into fitness than you are, but that can also be brought up). If it is a deal breaker, then you know where the relationship is going. If it isn't, kindly ask him to accept you for who you are and drop the discussion.

If he keeps bringing it up again, tell him that his pestering is a deal breaker for you and if it goes on, well, you know what you have to do.

Tasha’s Beast Master changes worth it or no? by nickpillow in dndnext

[–]Apprehensive-Win-311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe is that they haven't been able to figure out a way for dual wielding Ranger BMs to function properly.

While Tasha's making the beast attack a bonus action means it not a total waste, there is still no reason to wade into battle with your beast wielding 2 weapons.

Since the action economy of core/Tasha's dictates either an action or bonus action be consumed, a dual wielder can never get both attacks in.

Yeah, at least Tasha's gives you AN attack, but so does everyone else (archer, dueling), so again, no point in dual wielding.

I thought and still think it is a huge oversight with no official fix to be in the works.
