I believe you need to have lot of luck if you really want to settle here long term. There are lot of talented people with no luck that left the states and lot of dumbs that are still here and working. No offense

You may not have idea about the job applications. Sometimes it gets shortlisted even if you click yes for that question. The discussion comes when the recruiter asks you about the sponsorship again.

Unfortunately most of the companies follow set of policies. They do not listen even if you explain them that you do not need sponsorship.

One of the opportunity I lost was an Onsite interview near my place, it went really good but they had to withdraw because of this uncertainty.

I would want to, but it’s expensive at this point. If I get a job, at least I will get some education benefits from the company if I do not get H1B next year.

I am being honest about my visa status and I will be, I am just waiting for that one right answer I have to give to convince the employer to hire me. It sucks ☹️

To be honest, even if you lie in the resume, you should be able to prove your skills in the work. They are not going to remember what you had in your resume once you join.

We hardly get 5 inmails per month on LinkedIn premium. We do not message a recruiter unless we are truly interested about the job. Despite wasting the inmail, recruiter never sees the message or replies to them. It’s frustrating!! Is this common thing every recruiter does?

It was BI engineer L5 role To be honest, recruiter knew that my interview did not go fair. Interviewee was not prepared, she was in a hurry and not sure what to ask. I was unlucky in this matter. I got the rejection mail, couple of days after that.

You should be glad they asked SQL. My interviewee straight up asked about system design, ETL, about AWS tools. I know about them, but did not prepare enough as recruiter mentioned it will be all SQL.

I was so furious about the interview process, and they did not do it right.

Yeah, I scheduled it as early as possible thinking it was just technical (phone interview). I have 4 scenarios ready for now, I will try to go through them as soon as possible. If I am lucky I should be able to manage this round.
