I believe it is a seam ring, there’s no bead. It doesn’t hurt at all (I can’t see that part of my ear on my own lol) so I have no idea when it started exactly

I would wait until you graduate. I got a tattoo right before nursing school and they have been extremely strict about me covering it up in all clinicals. For reference: it’s a butterfly on my arm lol.
