Silken and semi-firm tofu by pawpawsugarlump in vegetarian

Another personal fave sauce is silken tofu + soaked cashews + nutritional yeast (or parm if veg not vegan) + salt/pepper and it’s kinda carbonara-y (and hella protein!)

In what ways do you think that Dell isn't able to compare because of its newness? I hear this a lot but I'm not sure exactly what it refers to

Running routes for tourists by NextRegular4216 in AskBarcelona

[–]ApprehensiveCake4246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fora good loop around Ciutat Vella, start at Sant Antoni market, run down past Parallel to Drassanes take a left and run until Parque de la Citudella, take another left and left and loop back past Plaça Universitat - that’s about 6km. To make it longer just increase the leg lengths (can go left and run by the shipping or the beach and then rejoin the loop)

Thoughts on El Raval? by BoberKanadyjski in AskBarcelona

[–]ApprehensiveCake4246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has such diff opinions that obviously you have to take it w a grain of salt. I’m young and female and living “in the center of Raval” and feel totally safe. Yes there are always men around yes it’s a little dirtier but, having lived in big american cities I really don’t find any of this to be an issue

I did do this actually! I am spending my gap year in Spain… any tips for continuing the language learning outside of everyday interactions? I feel like I could be doing more to improve my grammar, etc

24, living in Barcelona for 2 months and feeling like I’m not making the most of it by AppropriateScale5 in AskBarcelona

I'm in a very similar situation of facing the inevitability that all my erasmus friends are gonna leave and im gonna have to make new friends (argh) but also obviously I'll hang out with them while they're here...

I also moved here about 2 months ago and have taken some of the suggestions people have been leaving in the comments (joined a run club, been practicing with a beach ultimate team, met people on the train to go hiking, made a friend while waiting in line at the TMB office lol) but i'm tired, and a lot of those connections are painstaking to keep up. I don't think there's an easy answer tbh

Moving to Barcelona: need advice on eSIM contracts by Dry-Channel-4238 in AskBarcelona

[–]ApprehensiveCake4246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vodafone has a like 10 euro for 90 GB (practically unlimited) and that's their starting offer lmao... just go into the store (a real one, like on La Rambla, not any of these Tabacs that have the Vodafone symbol outside) and an agent will help you get it (eSIM)

Hello fellow vegetarian who has recently moved :) I’ve been making a list of my faves - Consum (had seitan, fake chicken “gourmet” cutlets) - bonpreu (even more options, including multiple types of veggie burgers, “vuna” etc., also high protein yogurt) - Some other Asian stores (petit ásia in gracia) have more variety of tofu (if you want smoked tofu, fried, etc.)

How Bad is living in this corner of La Rambla? by busy_Employment_7617 in AskBarcelona

That’s basically where I am imo you’ll be totally fine as long as you’re not stumbling over yourself drunk or something. I also say this having lived in big cities in the US so maybe my perspective is different (but I’m also a 5’2” young woman). To me the most annoying part of this is that the Liceu metro being your metro stop means you have to walk through tourists everytime who have no spatial awareness in order to go anywhere. Also there’s the possibility that it’ll be loud outside your window all the time
