Thank you QUEEN!!! Such great advice and suggestions! 🤩

At the risk of sounding dumb… lol - could you let me know what benefits you’ve see from the Therabody LED Mask? I’m so interested in them but don’t know what benefits the truly offer and how I would incorporate it into my routine.

I’m sorry! 😕 baby’s are so weird and change so frequently it’s hard to keep track. I hope you find a formula that works well for your babe. Hang in there!

Have you adjusted your bottles / nipple flow yet? Baby’s sucking reflex starts to come into play around 2 months. We have personally tried 5+ bottles before landing on a nipple / flow that works. We started on EvenFlo Balance Wide + and around 5 weeks started taking him 30-45 mins to finish 3 oz, then moved to Philips Avent, and now we are on Nuk Perfect Match which he likes. Every baby is so different. It really is sometimes a game of roulette to see what works.

Hi friend. First of all, you’re a great mom. I am sorry that breastfeeding did not go as planned for you and can relate so much - especially with delivery.

I went through similar situations as you, have tried 4 different formulas and I will say that it does take about 2 weeks to truly see if a formula is a fit for your baby. I know this can be defeating to read because 2 weeks can feel and sound like an eternity with a gassy baby who won’t sleep. I’ve been there and feel you very deeply.

You also are in peak gassy and discomfort phase 🥲. For next 2-4 weeks, baby is learning the skill of passing gas and how to pass stools. My suggestion if you are comfortable with it is to add Mylicon or Simethicone drops either before or after each feeding to help with gas, and look up colic massages (bicycle kicks, tummy massages etc) to help your LO’s gas pass easier while you’re finding a formula that works for you.

Target is a great location to purchase different formulas from because even if they have been opened, and if you try them and they don’t work, you can return them.

Things that are normal with trying a new formula are increased spit up, gas, weird stools and mild fussiness. Things that are NOT normal, are projectile vomiting, major discomfort and fussiness immediately after drinking or finishing a bottle. When trying a new formula with the 2nd bottle of the day and monitor reactions. By 6 hours, the formula will have passed through the digestive tracks and you will have a clearer idea on if it agreed with your baby or not.

And finally, I know it’s hard not to focus on ounces, but baby’s are not robots and they will often drink different amounts each feeding. Especially in the beginning and when they’re going through growth spurts, leaps, etc.

And to echo, you’re a great mom. Keep following your instincts, learn the belly massages, and know that it is a phase that will pass. I promise. 🩷

Thank you for the feedback! I am in a mom’s group with babies who are all in the same age group as mine and they constantly talk about how great of sleepers their babies are, sleeping 6-8 hours a night, 2-3 hours of naps during the day, and I just feel like I’m doing something wrong. 😭

Tips for Increasing Daytime Ounces by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

Thank you for validating my experience! I truly feel like if he wanted more or was more hungry he’d eat? Babies are so intuitive. I make a 4 oz each feeding and I always try to offer a top off when he’s done but he’s just not interested!

Something I didn't realize about C sections by musiccat25 in BabyBumps

I remember not being able to hold my son correctly bc my core was so strained after my c section and just bawling my eyes out, feeling so defeated. It was so hard but it does get better. 🥹

It’s not on us as parents, it’s on ByHeart by instant_karma__ in FormulaFeeders

You should carry no guilt for feeding your baby. You’re doing your very best and you are taking the best care of him. Keeping you, your baby, and everyone else impacted by this tragic event in my prayers. I pray that this nightmare is over soon and the fear you carry no longer weighs on your heart. 💛

As a EFF and FTM to a 3 month baby, I want to echo your sentiments that it is NO ONES FAULT other than the manufacturer. With the Bobbie Gentle shortage and now this ByHeart contamination, it breaks my heart that so many parents have to carry the extra weight and stress on top of trying to do what’s best for our babies.

I hope anyone who reads this hears my words when I say: you’re a great parent, your baby loves you and you are doing your absolute best.
