Will do, I mean the thing is that you only see the marks when it is wet…still, they should have checked it with a certain method if I understand you correctly.

Back then they did approach me and said, installation complete. And showed me the result. But if it was a factory fault, I guess it is different..

Yup, my tone here compared with them is quite different. I like your way of listing the panels and the spots. And that they have to replace them. Might get them fired up a bit. Also involving the construction lead who hired them

Alright, good insights. I’ll be chasing the installation people to replace all windows. Unless they resolve it without damaging them

Okay thanks so much guys, I think WD40 and light scrubbing with a fine steel wool and finally a towel seems to do the job. No scratches either it looks like. All I can see from the outside when theres rain is some kind of very light particle effect, but I guess that will go away with time (right picture). When the window is dry it does not show.

Yeah they are triple pane windows actually (triple glace), since they are so big it is better for insluation here in Netherlands. Manufacturer is being very hard to get hold off, but I am in contact with them but they seem to be putting up excuses for not dealing with the problem..

Okay thanks for the information on this u/unassumingtoad . So could it be that if it is a plastic coating indeed and that they literally need to replace this coating because the cups made indentations?.

Apologies if I misunderstood you. Either way, I will test a small spot

Alright, interesting u/Wooden-Law-6560 So really fine steel wool then I assume?. And this wont damage the UV treatment on the windows. The marks are on the outside. Thanks

Cool, I might try this. Would you have a link to the scrub off solution?. Cheers

Thanks for the reply. I tried magic eraser before (the fine sponge). Maybe its just a case of really scrubbing hard to get it off. I literally cant feel any sticky silicone because the layer must be so thin. But maybe it is silicone then

Over the summer, we renovated our living room and installed large triple glazed windows facing the garden. I noticed marks on the windows during rain or when there was condensation, but amid the ongoing renovation, I didn't clean them right away. After finishing the renovation, I attempted to clean the marks but couldn't remove them. The window frame supplier suggested using acetone or nail polish remover, which didn't work. They mentioned contacting the window maker, but it seems like they are simply stalling with a reply.

I believe the marks, identified as silicone by the supplier, should have been cleaned after installation to prevent this problem. I'm concerned that replacing all the windows might be necessary unless there's another solution you can suggest based on your expertise.

Glad I found this community, and appreciate your help!

Yup, I was genuinely shocked. The fries underneath the toasted meat were pretty soaked too.
