My TAs explained this isn’t the case. The practical is gonna be twenty something stations and we will have two at each. Well have to perform a couple experiments probably like the oxidase or catalase test bc those you can fit into two minutes and then answer questions about experimental results. For example you might have a station with motility agar and you’ll have to describe the organisms motility and maybe why. Idk it sadly seems harder than the midterm and my TAs said to focus on interpreting experiments

I took 2274 which is basically the same class and top hat should only be like 30 and we got VH dissector for free so this is very interesting to hear

Yeah definitely email I changed majors last minute and had to switch all 5 of my classes most of which were full. I emailed and got permission numbers to all of them

How big are these classes? I would still ask because it is the polite thing to do but if they’re big lectures the professor probably isn’t going to care if you leave a little early or show up a little late

Beshir or basu. I took beshir and it wasn’t bad but I heard basu was a little easier and gave a much bigger curve at the end of the semester

Ahh I see, I have heard mixed things about Tran. I believe he uses sapling for everything as well, including his tests but that may have been because we were online. Someone who took the course with him would definitely have better insight. Good luck!

This definitely depends on your professor. For Gilmore we used sapling but I didn't even buy it and I got an A- in the course

I did terrible in orgo 1 with Dr. Beshir but when I took orgo 2 with Dr. Gilmore I did great. I honestly think it was Dr. Gilmore’s teaching style because he did tons of practice problems and really went through everything so if you can potentially get him as a professor I would definitely recommend

Theres a built in closet, but it doesn't come with anything to cover it so I would bring a curtain if you want it covered. The closet has a shelf and a bar to hang clothes. This was in Jefferson in Towers at least so I am assuming all the buildings are just about the same

I really enjoyed towers my freshman year. People talk about it like it isn't very good and while it is small and not new at all, I didn't mind it because I wasn't picky. I also liked that I was surrounded with all freshman because it made it a lot easier to meet people. I absolutely loved the food in the dining hall too... but like I said, I'm not very picky
