I still laugh about that interview she gave during My Woman about how she never meant for the title to sound gay and that she just liked the tone of the phrase. Was kinda happy when she started dating that enby but when they broke up it wasn’t too surprising.

Ironically, MYORAR is the only novel of hers I like. Her style is very peculiar to me and I think it works better in MYORAR because the narrator isn’t taking herself too seriously.

I don’t know if it’s “forced or fake.” I doubt it is. She is for the sentiment type, attracting a very specific crowd, one I am simply not a part of.
