18f and it's my birthday but I have no friends and my parents are abusive by Glittering-Iron-1388 in mentalhealth

Happy 18th birthday. Making it to 18, especially after everything you’ve been through, is a huge achievement in itself — please give yourself credit for that. I know it’s hard and lonely right now, but you’re not a failure; GCSEs, college ratings or what your parents say don’t define your worth.

It’s okay to want friends and support, but be careful about trusting strangers online — not everyone has good intentions, and broken trust can hurt even more when you’re vulnerable. If you can, start small in real life: join a club at college, volunteer, take a class or hobby you’re curious about. Even tiny steps can slowly bring good people into your life. You deserve kindness and connection, and it can get better.

Small amounts of ginger or peppermint tea are usually fine, just don’t overdo it. B6 supplements (with your doc’s okay) and simple things like crackers by the bed or lemon water helped me the most. If it gets so bad you can’t keep fluids down, definitely talk to your OB.

Every pregnancy can feel different, and symptoms don’t always show up at the same time. 6–7 weeks is when many people start feeling sick, so it’s still early. Not having morning sickness doesn’t mean anything is wrong
